These are exactly my observations too!
There can be another candidates like Sydney, for example, but I haven't been there. would love to.

Paris is easier on the eyes but there is way too much of the same color in the architecture. London is more ecclectic. I just got back for a 3 day stint and I barely scratched the surface. I will post pics soon. Paris in the Spring is unbelievable.

I love Stockholm and I think it's a very beautiful city. But there's one problem with Stockholm. Imo Stockholm is too beautiful and too perfect, and that makes it loose it's charm. When there's so much beauty everywhere you can't really appreciate it and enjoy it the same way, as in other cities. It feels to me very shallow and not real. Paris has very much the same problem with beauty and the sense of perfection in the streets, but somehow I just don't get the same feeling as when I'm in Stockholm. When it comes to the color, I actually think that it's one of the ingredients in what makes Paris so special, and I don't mind this monotonous feeling actually. I would anyday in the week choose Paris before Stockholm, but then of course it's just my personal opinion..

That's because you only stayed in the center of Paris.

In fact I'm quite tired of all these threads alway showing Central Paris. Of course it's the historic heart of the city, but it is only a tiny area compared to the rest of the urbanized Greater Paris. It would be nice if our foreign traveller-photographers sometimes ventured beyond Central Paris. There's a lot they could show us.

Of course. However, most people agree that Paris is the most beautiful.

Neither Stockholm nor Budapest (!) are the most beatiful cities in the world. Stockholm is nice but has no wow factor what so ever. Budapest is both beatiful and ugly but has way too much traffic. Both cities are great though.

Oh, and great pics!

Of course, Paris as a metropolis-sized city has much to show in suburbs too, but you can't expect from a first-time traveler to go there instead of visit Eiffel tower, Louvre or Triumph arch. It's parisians task - to show us more unknown parts of the city!
