One of the most ambitious projects of Baku is in a magazine about architecture. The article is called "Architecture as spectacle"

Exactly! Flame Towers have a great location and a beautiful panorama to the city. I think one of the towers will be used for this reason, so tourists visiting the city will have a good opportunity to look at the panorama of the city from the very high point

I think it will be a landmark building of Baku. It is quite a sophisticated and expensive project

Seal of Baku and Flame Towers

The design of this initiative project, The Flame Towers, is based upon the seal of Baku. The seal depicts three flames representing oil wells over the sea. The towers to be constructed, a hotel, offices and residential properties, are a representation of these flames.

I accept with information:The tallest of the towers, 39 storeys, will house luxury apartments which will boast stunning views of the surrounding area and no doubt also offer fun additions such as a gym, spa and other things you cant normally fit in a two storey house, one of the many advantages to tower dwelling. The second tower 37 storeys will house a luxury hotel while the third tower, 34 storeys will have grade A office spaces.

What tourists, I've been to Baku many time this year and apart from a few people associated with the oil industry most of the people on every flight I've been on are Azeri, ditto with the hotels, mostly Western businessmen working in the oil industry.

I'd love to know what the tourist numbers are for Azerbaijan.
