Just a few of Birmingham. Doesn't grasp the whole lot but some decent enough shots.

Good point! It is not about the amount of tall buildings, but about the compositions the buildings form together. That's why Vilnius is one of the best in Europe (shortly after the Hague of course ).

I really dont understand why the hague has so many votes, thers nothing that really puts it miles ahead of any other city on here and tbh the picture of vilnius you have just posted is better than anything i have seen from the hague.

That's because the skyline of Birmingham doesn't have anything to offer. The only thing that stands out is Holloway Circus, for the rest the skyline is just made of dull commieblocks (perhaps Regal tower can make it a little bit better). The Hague has a skyline with real architecture with some classy post-modern towers, that is why this skyline has more votes.

No, it's because every Dutch forummer has voted for The Hague... The architecture is by no means better than most other poll options.

We can ask more Dutch to join, because 64 votes isn't all Dutch forummers.

That photo of Birmingham is only half of the true skyline, it is far too big to get into a normal photo.

I've noticed a lack of Manchester images during the last 20 pages of this thread. So here we go....

Yeh. Birmingham does need a bit more quality but that will come in time. It has some of the fineest proposals in the UK they just need to build them.

^Indeed, but apart from Beetham the skyline is nothing to write home about. Birmingham is even worse, and completely overrated.

Since The Hague is the city in the Netherlands where the government seats it's often used during the news on tv.
