Another city in Europe with a largely underrated skyline is IMO Vienna
True, I also had Vienna on my mind. Brussels & Vienna got a bit more or less the same skyline in my opinion. Some nice modern buildings, concentrated in a nice modern area but they miss some height (only negative point for me). Also Amsterdam with the zuid-as would fit in this list.

Nothing about the dutch/english skylines but there are some very nice ones in other countries but they are barely mentionned like Vienna or Brussels or Napels (not in the list!).

It seems people can't even be objective anymore and only vote for their own cities' one, just check the votes.
The trouble is there are fewer people registered on these forums from certain regions in the world.

I've lived in Naples, so I know the city has a good skyline worth taking pictures of. But most Dutch people have no idea about Naples. Since there are more Dutch members on this forum than there are Southern Italians, the balance is bound to get a little screwed up.

Having said that; people who will always vote for their hometown no matter what should be shot in the face.

Ah, you alrady quoted me for that.
After seeing quite a lot of cities' skylines my reaction was maybe a bit too harsh so I changed my mind and I was going to delete it but you responded already.
Just ignore that part.

I don't think it was too harsh. You have a legitimate point. There are too many people who blindly vote for their own hometown no matter how shitty it may be.

Let me post some pics of my hometown. Not because I think it's the best, but just because I can . It has a pretty decent skyline for a city just over 200k and will improve with some more highrises in the works.

Unfortunately I only found a poor quality scan of the photo below. I have the original high resolution image in a book and shows more nature/park in the foreground, I like it a lot.

Close up (also a poor quality scan)

Some other angles

Future skyline

I like Viennas skyline (looked lovely from the old wheel) but i find the buildings height to width ratio wrong to give the impression of skyscrapers, just a rather tall set of office blocks. I think that pic above prooves it.

Why Vilnus is not on the poll? I like it very much.

Birmingham seems denser to me even though Manchester has some taller buildings.
