There is a few but mostly it's barren.

it was called rabbit island because the french raised rabbits there in the 1920's

i once saw a report on this street on future tv, appearantly it has some decent restaurants and cafes...i wonder why it looks so empty in the pics because in the report it was packed with people !!!

program called; Lamasat and they mentioned the street has around 11 pubs and that it's the nightlife hotspot of the town.

It has tons of flowers and grasses though. Actually a lot of lebanon's biodiversity in terms of plants are found on those islands, especially the palm one. One flower, the sea daffodil is endogenous to the medditteranean region but is facing extinction everywhere except for on palm island. Its actually a really nice flower.

I also heard that the islands house these weird kinds of grasses that have tiny flowers, like microscopic in size haha.

But other than that, they all serve as areas for sponges, fish, turtles, and sea birds to lay their eggs/reproduce. So they should never be disrupted as they are the only sites in lebanon that house these events.

When I went to the islands last summer I was really disappointed. There was so much garbage everywhere
