About 8 years ago, I went to Beijing and stayed at the Peninsula. Does anyone know where this is in relation to that hotel?

I don't know if you are talking about Wangfu Peninsula hotel, if it is, this hotel is located at Wangfujing, the city center, precisely inside East 2nd ring road. Fortune III is located right besides East 3rd Ring road. It's on the straight east of the Peninsula hotel, about 4~5 kms.

Thanks. How about other developments like the CCTV tower? Is that near the Peninsula too?

Beijing has changed a lot in a few years.

CCTV tower is near Fortune III, they both located in the Beijing CBD area (East 3rd Ring). Yes Beijing has changed a lot since 8 years ago, especially east (CBD) and north (Olympics venues, Hi-tech village). I stayed in Wangfu Peninsula hotel too 5 years ago, I don't think there's much changes in that area though

It was amazing how for a few years we all thought this tower was complete.
