I like to think that by it having such a tiny area.. it will mean it will become denser over time, rather than sprawling as bad as every other capital.

I like this pic. Parramatta Road.

Parra Rd is the one in the centre that resembles a white urban vain winding through a reddish tiled skin..

Do you mean the domestic terminal expansion that would eb sistuated in the building further up the picture?

No there is 2, 01/19 and 14/32.

They don't cross and aren't parrallel, 14/32 is to the top left in the picture above.

Most jet traffic uses 01/19, but 14/32 can take up to a 737 in size.

To give an indication of the scale of that photo, the main runway 01/19 is 3560 metres long (3.56 km), 14/32 is 1700m.

on the bottom left you can see the midland railway line, and on the bottom right you can see beaufort st, which starts as Barrack Street infront of the Swan Bell Tower and finished somewhere up in Morley

There are two but the one you can see in the picture takes on most of the work, since 747's cannot land on the second diagonal one. It does the job, we just hit 20 million passengers a year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Great photos of Wellington, thanks. It could pass as a lot bigger than 380,000

I know there should only be photos in this thread but seeing that we're talking of Wellington here's a cool vid of the city from a plane taking off from there (cool soundtrack too):
