Skyscrapers currently on hold or cancelled by the recession

Hello everyone!

I have been trying to find skyscrapers currently on hold or cancelled by the current global recession. There are some status updates but the information is scattered all over the fora and is very hard to find. Maybe we could gather all that information into one place, here. Anyone else trying to hunt on holds or cancelleds?

This has the potential to be an extremely depressing thread Here are two projects from Brisbane, both of which would have been the cities tallest building.

Empire Square - 240m - totally cancelled

Vision 259m or 283m to spire - contruction put on hold after basement excavation

But the president of Cencosud, Horst Paulmann, has announced that Costanera Center will be reactivated soon.

Some from Warsaw:

Kulczyk Tower, 280m (most propably will be lowered to 130m, and redesigned :P )

Lilium tower, 235m.

Warsaw Spire, 180m to roof/220m total

Jewish Community tower, 207m

Kaleidoscope, 170m

Twarda tower, 160m

So active highrise development in Warsaw has stopped

NOOOOOOOOOOOOO ... I love Zlota44 building.

It's true that the cranes were dismantled and it's not known if they will resume construction?

True. ORCO company went bankrupt. Only hope is that new investor will buy construction site and finish building.

122 Leadenhall Street, London, UK. Currently on hold, could be rescued some time in the future though.

Calatrava Towers (Valencia, Spain)

3 towers of 308, 266 and 220 metres designed by Santiago Calatrava, and close to the Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias, possibly we'll never see them.

Torre Vallecas (Madrid, Spain)

Approximately a 150 metres tower, i'ts supposed to be on hold.

Porta Barcelona (Barcelona, Spain)

Two towers of 100 metres, on hold.

Torre del Triangle Ferroviari (Barcelona, Spain)

145 metres, on hold... but possible won't be built.

Torres Metrópolis (Murcia, Spain)

Towers of 185 and 165 metres. No notices about them.

I think the main projects on hold in South America are:

1.Costanera 300 m, Santiago de Chile
2. El Faro 280 m , Medellín, Colombia
3. HSBC Tower 130 m, Lima, Perú.

Maybe their are some other important ones in Argentina or Brazil.
