I saw yours on your thread but it looked deformed. By the looks of your models, do you use card-stock at all?

Ok it was easy to do the easy way. But the real way I am guessing is hard. I too did the easy way.

Pianoscience, I assume the not bad for first try was directed at me. You have my appreciation for the recognition of my efforts. As for pompous mcbetterthan us, when your skyline is this big: http://www.skyscrapercity.com/showpo...46&postcount=2 in three and a half months of work, you can get back to me.

Oh also, use 120lb cardstock, and exacto knife, and three varieties of glues, varying depending on tab size, stress load, and angle.

Also, hold down a 20+ hr a week job, maintain a social life, and keep a girlfriend entertained all at the same time. Oh and design a few of your own from scratch.

And remember, the timeline for this is three and a half months...

The Dali Lama said it best "Pimpin' aint easy, yo."

Oh and to clarify, I'm just playin' I was being modest earlier; quite frankly I am fairly pleased with how well my spire came out, effort involved was average, though time consuming... Now I shall reap the karmic consequences of my bragging... oh well...

Meh, PianoScience seems to be at his limit as far as request-spammers, brag-tards, and whiners are concerned. While I can safely assert that my tolerance levels are higher than his, I can't say I blame him for feeling as he does... There would appear to be a recent spike in infestation of such negative personality traits, as of late. We need a b& hammer...

My skyline was only about 60% like yours.

Hey, I really want to make this, but can someone, who exactly knows how to make it, show me with images of the model? Not the finished model, the parts, or like JW117 made the tuts for his models... thanks

woah ATG, that's some nice work you got there.

I oversized it to 120% and I plan to add a conical structure at the top to make it seem like the new chicago spire (and without having the spire taking/cheating most of its height, lol)

Honestly this thing would be hard enough (I guess I'll get going on it tomorrow), I wouldn't imagine how hard the updated design of the chicago spire would be (if someone ever designed it, lol), as the new chicago spire has 6 "twists", whiile this version only has 4 IIRC. Anyhow, good luck to myself

If you want some stats, renders and videos to go along with your paper models check out the following link.

http://openbuildings.com/buildings/f...file-2204.html

There's even a video on the construction.

It's a shame this "snow queens' tower" won't be built
