Montreal, Quebec Part 1

I was in Montreal, Quebec for a couple of days this week and it was really hot and humid on Tuesday for sure. I haven't had a chance to finish all my photos yet so I'll post just a few for now, more to come!

This is the Notre-Dame Basilica from 1829 and if you click on this link there is a virtual tour for the inside of the church.

Montreal, Quebec Part 2

There's still a few more photos that I'll post on another day. Many thanks to everyone that has made comments in my thread.

Look it's not that narrow, just walk sideways!

These last three pics are shots of the McGill University.

The natural stone and cut stone buildings in Montreal are amazing. By the way, what neighborhoods did you walk around? It looks like Vieux Montreal was at least one place.

Yeah I pretty much stayed in the old part of Montreal, I parked my car on Rue Notre Dame and walked all around for hours and shot photos.

I might be passing through Montreal again maybe in a month if I decide to drive to Ville de Quebec.

Love the pics, and they bring back memories! Wish I had had a chance to go to Quebec City this summer... I miss it!

Aviation Expo 2009

I'm not sure if there's much interest for this sort of thing here but I'll post these photos anyway.

They were all taken last Sunday (Aug 30th) from the Aviation Expo 2009 at Waterloo-Wellington Flight Centre.

I have a few more of Montreal and some other miscellaneous shots from Ontario I'd like to post but I just haven't got around to it yet.

I'm hoping to go to Casa Loma in Toronto soon unless it continues to rain for the next week.

Miscellaneous

These are some random photos taken in the last few months.

The 1883 wreck of the Erie Belle on Kincardine Beach, Ontario.

June 21 2009
Burned out house near Harriston, Ont.

September 07 2009
The grave of 13-year-old Jesse Keith violently raped and murdered in 1894 Listowel, Ont.
Apparently the way she was killed was so brutal and gruesome that back in 1894-95 rumours were going around that Jack the Ripper had travelled across the ocean and made his way into Canada.

My little trip to Toronto Island.

The Gibraltar lighthouse is the oldest existing lighthouse on the Great Lakes dating back to 1808.
There's a whole story about the original lighthouse keeper mysteriously disappearing and presumed to have been murdered in 1815.

These are of Brockville, Ontario taken on my drive up to Montreal last August.
It was around 4:00 am and I didn't have my tripod with me but the photos are decent enough though.

Montreal, Quebec Part 3

These are pretty much the last of my photos from August however I'll be back in Montreal early next week for a couple of hours so I'll be shooting a few more photos. After that I'm heading down Route 132 through the little communties all the way to Quebec City/Vieux Quebec and I'll be staying there for a few days.

Three photos from the Cimetiere Notre-Dame-des-Neiges.
