 RIZAL PARK is a Park situated at the heart of Manila, Philippines the Iconic Statue of Rizal On September 28, 1901, the United States Philippine Commission approved Act No. 243, that granted the right to use public land upon the Luneta in the city of Manila, where the monument was erected to commemorate the memory of José Rizal, Philippine patriot, writer and poet. The contract was awarded to second-placer Swiss sculptor named Richard Kissling for his “Motto Stella” (Guiding Star). |

Beautiful Plazas my friends all great! My favs so far are CINCI, LIMA, NYCs WASHINGTON SQUARE, and MONTEREY PLAZA.
Ive Noticed nobody has put up pix of TIMES SQUARE or UNION SQUARE in SAN FRANCISCO. And also, Notice how my city (LA, USA) has no main (big) square, its not designed in our city scape........SAD

Sanam Luang (Thai: สนามหลวง) is an open field and public square in front of Wat Phra Kaew and the Grand Palace, Bangkok, Thailand. Sanam Luang is located in the Phra Nakhon district, the historic center of Bangkok. Sanam Luang has been a multi-purpose area since Bangkok was founded, and the venue for Royal and official ceremonies in every reign. It has been a race track, a golf course, and the famous Weekend Market, which subsequently moved to Chatuchak Park.
