That's a pretty huge trip...I think you will need a whole month to accomplish this.

As we are on a new page, let's continue with some other pictures from central Romania, between Brasov and Baile Tusnad.

After Chichis we are on DN12. This national road is in a rehabilitation process, with works going on till Toplita, the northern end of DN12. The first part, till Sfantu-Gheorghe, is already finished, and looks very good:

Well, I have another set of questions.
On the picture below, we have two blue boards showing several destinations. Is the one with arrow in front(bottom) letting us know that we are already following the road with the number on?
Is the top one, with the arrows on the back, leading us to the roads having those numbers?
Quote:
So, I reckon that similar rules apply to this signpost, the place on the top appears as a direct destination, on the left indirect.

Quote:
And the last one, very OT Do you, in Romania, consider yellow MB swinging on that junctions as a old, cheap car or classic youngtimer?

I am going to visit Romania this year, so I would like to get as much information about your country as possible.

Yes, destinations on top are direct, while for the bottom ones you have to leave DN11 few km after, and use a section of Brasov bypass, from DN11 to DN13. However this type of signs is not usual, in fact it's the first I ever saw here.

As for the yellow MB, they are not often seen on Romanian roads, and are owned mainly by nostalgic people, that are very passionate about quite old cars. The country where I met lot of these cars is Albania, where 60% of cars seemed to be old MB.

P.S. Welcome to Romania

Now I want to present you photos from a 1-day roadtrip to Moldova&Ukraine. My route was the following: Braila-Galati-Giurgiulesti-Reni-Izmail-Bolhrad-Vulcanesti-Cahul-Oancea-Galati-Braila. The route was about 300km, but it took me about 12h to acomplish it as I had to pass 8 borders. Control at these borders is a very thorough one, and it lasts about 45 minutes.

The route in GE:

The first picture is from the short national road between Braila and Galati, which also functions as a dike of the Danube. Danube was pretty high at the begining of april, when I did this trip. Between Braila and Galati there are 2 national roads, this one near the Danube, for vehicles with total weight under 3.5t and another road, more inland, for all kind of vehicles.
