LOL! Imagine how much he got that he had to place some bottles in the front seat. The trunk must have been full!

You usually see lots of Romanian trucks or buses on national road 61 and 64? This is a good shortcut from Szeged to Graz, about 100km shorter than the route M5-M0-M1-A4-S1-A2. Plus you don't have to buy the hungarian vignette. I used this shortcut twice, on the way to Italy and southern Austria.

nice roadtrips guys
Le Clerk, nice trip, I know that our friends from Romania complain about the road quality, but I wish we would have at least 50 % of that

To be more correct, there's about 110 km in between Bucharest and Pitesti on motorway, while the motorway continues N of the city as by-pass for another 20 km.

I made my first longer roadtrip today. Paris - Slovenia, 1355km, I drove exactly 13h12min. I took a few stops, just for the fuel, and sandwiches.

So I crossed 5 countries: France, Germany, Austria, Italy and Slovenia, no border checks, thanks to schengen . I find the best motorways are in Italy, best pavement, lightning, high fence (??) in the middle, so you don't see cars from opposite direction. The best road side areas are in France, although, soon after Metz, it is only the word "aire" which makes them french, because the names certainly don't!

there wasn't lot of jams, mostly in opposite direction near Stuttgart. although there was one on Munchen - Salzburg A99 motorway, because of an accident, but thanks to my gps, I avoided and finished in some forests , but it was worth it, and "she" put me on the motorway again right after the jam finished.

the best for driving was french A4, low traffic, straight, with average speed at 140kmh. the worst were german motorways, as the half of them are limited by 120, and there is a lot of works going on. also, normaly they put 100 or 120 speed limit on descent, and then no limit on going up, which makes it difficult to accelerate to apropriate speed. besides, fuel consumption is therefore much higher.

just a few pictures taken with my phone, I didn't have a camera because it wasn't a planned roadtrip.

"one of the" Rhin on french - german border, because I counted five of them.

salzburg - I was happy that it is finally shown.

gps put me of the motorway

no idea where - traffic jam is on the right.

actually, avoiding Italy on general. Firstly because of tolls, and also, italian motorways are not very popular on August 1.

well, comming from Augsburg, Lindau is not very usefull destination from Munich.
