You might try the smoke meat and poutine ... For the smoked meat you should go for shwartz they have the best smoke meat in the world

Just for the record I am staying Downtown at the Mariott, is it close to Shwartz?

Also, is French essential to communicate at restaurants, subway stations etc or will English do? I'm sharpening up my French skills with an App on my phone

We have alot of restaurant in Montreal and you must visit ''Old Montreal'' they have some fine restaurants up there.

Guys! The Egyptian forum has gotten extremely inactive and we're not getting any new members either.

I have a plan that may or may not help. We need organization, for example, we need to change all the thread titles in the photography sections to this format:

[name in English] | [name in Arabic]

Example:
Nubian Villages | القرى النوبية
Bibliotheca Alexandrina | مكتبة الإسكندرية | Library of Alexandria
Giza - Little Cairo | الجيزة - القاهرة الصغرى ‎

Also, I suggest that we change the name of the Egypt Forum Chit-chat thread to:

The Shisha Den - General Chat | [Arabic translation (I have no idea what that is in Arabic though)]

It should also be stickied.

We should also change the names of all the stickied threads to include an Arabic translation.

For example:

Egyptian Politics Thread | السياسة في مصر

If Egypt69 doesn't have the time (which I totally understand btw) to do this then one of us should be given temporary mod powers to do it. I'm a perfectionist and this forum is so disorganized that it makes me cringe. :P
