Guys, I hate to be the bearer of bad news but,

The Admins have declined our request to add a SkyBar section to the Egpyitan forum. They said that we dont have enough posts. Maybe after some time, we can ask them again.

hey that's alright... i have been thinking about this recently... im sure we get a good amount of views on this forum, but we also need to get more members to sign up and increase both viewers but more importantly contributors..... obviously the easiest way to do that is telling friends and stuff.. which is great... but we need iddeas on how we could really boost membership and contribution to the egypt forums... any ideas..

okey here is my first suggestion, recently egypt69 or some moderator put those official or main threads a sticks erm nice move but we have a problem. we have a LONG list of sticked topics so My suggestion is yes they are important but a better way I though of is just create one topic and close it put the links to these notable topics as a shortcut...

Thats a good idea, but that would mean we have to delete the current topics.

It might look strange now, but you'll get used to it

Sport Thread

Transport Thread

Aviation Thread

and so on in a much better layout and everyone of these list are hyperlinked to the actual thread like a shortcut

ohh and I wonder if we can rename the Photo Forum to Photos and Videos just so we can post video too as we got couple of them and some guy got a video for the pyramids and b/c it say Photos Forum he didn't post it there....

Ohh, so you mean as in Sub-Forums where we post only Sport realted threads, And one in which we post Transport realted threads etc??

I would love that too, but If the Admins denied us a SkyBar, they'll never accept that.

So your concern was that the sticky threads take up too much space, so you wanted to replace them all with one thread, which provides links to all the threads right?

So I said, it was a good idea, but that would mean we would have to delete all the threads (to clear the space), and then entirely re-write them again, and have all the links in one thread.

So unforutnately, it wont work out. And dont worry, maybe it looks odd now, but we'll get used to it, and hopefully when they decide to give us a SkyBar, it will look even better

nah, I don't understand why would you need to delete them? just unstick the topics as they where before and make the new sticked topic.

But if i unstick them, they will still be there! Then there would not be a point of having one single thread, because there would be no place to relocate the others.

no we will have one thread that list these topics we have now, it is just like a list for important topics.
