2009 T20 World Cup - England
After the Netherlands' epic upset, the Windies destruction of the Aussies and our dismissal of the Scots, I think the tournament deserves its own thread.

SA will win this tournament... not being biased...they are looking awesome and everyone else knows it, I think out of all the international players in the IPL, the SA players were in the best form

I don'ty like bashing the aussies but i had to laugh. not so much because they lost, but that they were so surprised. they've never been a convincing t20 team and then ponting says he doesn't understand how they're out of the tournament. i don't think they've figured out how to play this format yet.

lol, I'd laugh at them, the pompus ar$se's! They were beaten and beaten well by both Windies and Sri Lanka, so how he cant see that is mind boggling! I think Symonds was the missing link there, he has that way of turning a match around for them, also Haydens been in smashing form so yeh, but then again they need a change and I wont be surprised that in a few years time these young blokes will come good.

NZ played good but they were playing against the world's best and they paniced towards the end and they lost. I would have loved to see SA against the Aussies in the finals. I believe that we gonna take it this time. Well done to Van Der Merwe.

Freakin' close game last night especially after we posted such a rubbish score. But super happy we beat NZ in the end - put 'em back in their place.

Very close and to win it in the last over is always a nail biter. Weldone to Parnell for keeping his nerve but Roedolf was the star with the ball. Onto the Super 8's

good to see us winning when we're not even at our peak. i think an SA vs India final is very very likely.

Here's an article by Ian Chapell. This was before they were knocked out by Sri Lanka and it shows to me that the Australian approach to t20 cricket is wrong.

I wouldn't place NZ in that category. Don't think they'll get to the final but they're a very decent side.
