Last night I did a close up render of the cladding. it is pretty boring, but it is the tower as a whole that is interesting.

I have completed some more.
 (click for bigger)By mattbennett at 2011-08-25 The current height is 620m with a final height of 910m I should get the top finished within a week, and then I will do something with the base. The bases I have created so far:     I might have another try with the spherical base, but I still think something else could be better.

wow great progress, at what heigt are we now?
 btw, the 4th base is just perfect i think. 1 is too random while 2 and 3 are looking too condom-like IMO

Sorry for the lack of updates, I have been busy with work!
I have finished the structure and floors up to the top, so I just need to do the cladding. My next update render should be the completed building minus the base, which I still haven't figured out yet. one more thing: Now that I have reliable work, I will be able to afford an impressive desktop computer, so by the end of this year, I will hopefully have a whole city of buildings with this amount of detail
