This building is so shitty I want to kick it in the nuts.

Unfortunately this piece of shit is wearing a jockstrap to protect the gonads.

I love it when people post hate on this forum instead of updates! Spamming useless hate comments all over this site is exactly what this forum is for!

Wow, don't we have enough updates as it is?

Here's an update for you:

It was ugly yesterday.
It's uglier today.
And it will be even uglier tomorrow.

The colours of the beach make this building look even more dull... Out of all the buildings being built across the world this one would make the the most sense to follow the trend and be clad in blue glass

Totally agree, even if I don't dislike too much this building because I like how strange and original it looks, this would have been the perfect chance to make a Gold Coast style building, usually Benidorm buildings are not glassy or cool with the excuse that they are cheap, but this is not the case, such a tall building, with glass facade and that structurally expensive cone in the top, must be an expensive building.
In Benidorm I can see 2 trends, the one of this building, and other massive concrete towers, and the other one, with better looking towers, like Torre Lugano and the projet Torre Mediterraneo (http://www.skyscrapercity.com/showthread.php?t=972990), but the concrete towers are winning the battle.

I agree, Benidorm needs to get its act together, how much more does white render cost compared to bare concrete? Not much is my guess...

Like you say though, you have to hand it to this building for being different, no matter how ugly it is...

I like buildings that aren't too overdone, or too generic. This is probably my 'least favourite' skyscraper that I actually like. Whose stupid idea was it to build that weird cone in the center? It would have looked so much cooler as identical twin towers with no connections at the top.

Benidorm has become the paradigm of how ugly urbanism and architecture has become in Spain... since the 60s. This tower is, ugh... no words to describe it.. unique and horrifying.

The clean and sleek look of the twin towers without the cone shows the bad taste of both architects and developers adding that cone. Furthermore, I still don't understand why they like so much exposed concrete buildings.

This may be ugly but not all of Spain's architecture is... There are many good examples of contemporary architecutre in Barcelona (just to name one place), with Hotel Porta Fira, Torre Agbar, Habitat Sky, Diagonal Zero Zero and a few residential buildings near the sea in the Diagonal Mar area being examples of this...

Well, if it's any consolation, most of the people who will see this tower in person will not be sober. Maybe to a drunk Anglo it doesn't look that bad.

It's announced to be the tallest residential tower in Europe, it's something people use to say in Spain "the best/most.... of Europe", but, at least with this tower, they should specify "European Union", because there are several taller residential towers in Istanbul (not only the Saphire) and Moscow.
