The design of this bldg. looks weird and scary, hope it doesn't collapse during construction or once completed...

Pilling is underway now, about 65% done and on part of the showroom is being occupied by the first Dean&Deluca in South East Asia.

Here i quote The Lizzard King from the Thai forum:

can just say that they are working hard on piling, lots of machines and workers on site from what i saw and hopefully in a few months we will see something rising...

They still need to choose a contractor for the building itself which i dont believe they have...

Think positive ManilaBoy

Actually there are many buildings designed to give the impression of being unstable, without actually being so in any way. Take the old design for The Scotts Tower for example. I suppose Maha Nakhon is built on the same principle of a central load bearing core.

i do not think he is trying to put this project down. he was just merely expressing his opinion about its unconventional design. naturally, for lay people, they'd express the same sentiments of scare and fear in living in a building with units jutting out like the edge of a cliff. I'm an architect but yes the design looks pretty scary too, but its a one of a kind project so i'm thumbs up for it.

This building is certainly miles better than the Baiyoke Tower.

Wow, I love this design! Its contemporary without being too in-your-face or boxy... I just wish there where some good construction shots to see how this building is doing...

you couldn't compare this to baiyoke Tower....Baiyoke tower was built in 1997, it was almost 15 years ago....and it was built during the financial crisis too

Great stuff man. It hasn't been much info posted here lately.

Btw, are they gonna use top down method here for any chance? It looks like they are preparing "floor" on the street level.

You're just flaming. Ignore him and thats it. Otherwise posts like this one are showin' the SSC-Users how stupid written actually posts can be. Or do you think, the GT International Tower here in Metro Manila (second highest in the country) is not unique / iconic?

BTW: Nice project and at least best skyscraper to rise in Bangkok . Really nice one, but also a little bit too crazy in my opinion. But still iconic and unique
