PACE signs massive Bht 5,400 million loan agreement with SCB - moves full speed ahead with MahaNakhon
• One of largest private sector property development loan agreements recently
• MahaNakhon construction targeted to reach 10th floor by Dec 2012 and CUBE Retail Centre to be fully complete by mid-2013
Bangkok

Bangkok (23 March 2012) – PACE Development Corporation Public Company Limited, the company behind the Bht 19,000 million mixed-used MahaNakhon development, recently announced the signing of a Bht 5,400 million loan agreement with Siam Commercial Bank for the construction of the remainder of MahaNakhon where piling is now 100% completed and work on the underground section is in progress. It is one of the largest lines of credit recently extended to a private sector property development project and will be used for the on-time completion of the project.
PACE Development expects to complete construction of the CUBE Lifestyle Retail Centre in front of MahaNakhon by mid 2013.
Mr. Sorapoj Techakraisri, CEO of PACE Development Corporation said, “We thank the Siam Commercial Bank for their support, and the size of the loan reflects the strength of our sales recently and their confidence in the MahaNakhon and The Ritz-Carlton Residences, Bangkok.”
Mr. Arthid Nanthawithaya, Senior Executive Vice President, Wholesale Banking of Siam Commercial Bank, said, “SCB is confident in PACE’s potential, their reputation, and the quality of their projects. We are also confident that the MahaNakhon will become a Bangkok landmark because of its many appealing aspects such as its international design standards, its location in the heart of city and within the Sathorn-Silom business district, and the presence of The Ritz-Carlton Residences, Bangkok.”
Foundation piling of MahaNakhon is now 100% completed and construction has commenced in the underground section. By the end of 2012, the MahaNakhon building is expected to have reached the 10th floor and by mid 2013, construction of the CUBE Lifestyle Retail Centre in front of MahaNakhon is expected to be fully completed.
Other PACE Development projects include Ficus Lane on Sukhumvit 44/1 and Saladaeng Residences, on Soi Saladaeng, which have gained excellent customer acceptance in the luxury residential property sector for their good locations, Zero Defect quality, and outstanding designs.

Construction Update at MahaNakhon: Cube retail construction continues on site, with the B4 level now completed. Construction has moved to the next phase, where the supporting platform has been set and the steel bar tying work has been started to support the structure B3 level.

As part of the construction process, steel bar tying so that the steel reinforcing remains in their correct respective positions is critical to achieve the desired strength of the completed concrete structure.

This tying process is expected to be finished in 4 days, before pouring the B3 concrete slab.

Works on the mall cube continues. According to their website next phase of the main tower will start in june.

Here is the latest update from their facebook account from 25 April.

MAHANAKHON CUBE CONSTRUCTION CONTINUES
Ongoing for construction are the access ways between levels, pictured is the B3 to B2 stairway, where the shape is formed, then concrete is poured to make the stairwell. The steel bar area behind the stairs will be completed in the next 2 weeks.

Following the Thai New Year, construction below ground continues for MahaNakhon, with the B3 level reaching completion as each level brings the development closer to ground level. B3 now forms the surface on which to place the supporting frame for construction of the B2 level.

Pictured, work on the water tank which will supply water for the entire development will be finished beginning of May.

MahaNakhon - Bangkok Rising
Below ground works continue through May for MahaNakhon's retail "Cube" building. We have now reached the B2 level, where the workers are creating the level supporting frame, then will lace the reinforcement bars together and pour the concrete, forming the reinforced concrete surface level of B2, completing in around 10 days.

Following the last construction update, this week the B2 level was completed already. The underground site now is setting up the supporting frame on the B2 surface as usual which allow workers stand on the frame and build the structure for B1. It will takes approximately a further 5 days to finish that.

Retail construction continues on site, with B2 level finished, we are moving forward to setting up supporting platforms this week for the B1 level. This includes setting up tied reinforced steel bar together to build up the basic internal structure of the B1 level which is now only 4 meters away from the ground surface....Bangkok rising!

Hey MahaNakhon fans....looking down, it's now no longer a deep hole 5 storeys, but is slowly closing up as we finish below ground and start work on above ground, with construction on "Cube" as well as the tower above ground work starting very soon (piling is completed already).
