I am truly impressed by this building. I do believe it will be synonymous with Port of Spain in the future like the Lyric Opera House is in Sydney. Hope that isn't too far fetched but it is how I feel.

Doesn't this remind anyone of the Sydney Opera House?

It's a wonderful building glad it's getting built. Definitely going to be a highlight of 21rst century Caribbean building.

Location, location, location

I will preface my comments with, “In my opinion”. The National Academy for the Performing Arts is an absolutely, incredibly, stunningly, eye catching beautiful building. (Do you know what I mean?) The photographs, architectural drawings, artists impressions are absolutely flawless. The contours are smooth and even dramatic. However, the location does not create the dramatic effect the building is meant to convey.
The National Academy for the Performing Arts should have been built on a vast expanse of land, on A gentle incline or in a shallow valley where the building appears ahead of you with majestic splendor. The current location makes the building look squeezed into the site; it is too close to the street. I hope steel and concrete barricades are built around the building to prevent “drive-in” guests.

I suspect the architect and engineers must be pleased to see his/ her design built, however, they may have preferred to see their building at a more dramatic location.

I end with “In my opinion”.

I totally agree, its a magnificent building. Only its location is my only problem.
