In search of a moderator
With the growth of the SSC India forums we will be needing another moderator to help us out.
So if anyone wants to be a moderator, please send us a pm (sudheesh and suncity). Some of the things to look at is 1) whether you do have spare time beyond your studies and work to devote time to moderating SSC India 2) whether you can get along with most of the forumers pretty well 3) how can you contribute to make SSC India a more informative place and so on.. How we select the moderator has not yet been finalized. We want to hear from you. Please add your comments in this thread. Let's at least start the ball rolling. So here we go..... |

New Mods reply to a simple, light-hearted poll thread in Chaibar
Now honestly, does anyone think there was ever going to be anything acheived by making a post like that? Does it help the atmosphere of the forum? does it bring ppl together? does it serve any purpose at all? Im not saying anyone isnt entitled to have their own views, but time and time again, this individual has felt the need to disrupt the peace of the forum with completely unnecessary outbursts. Hes clearly not capable of controlling his emotions and behaving responsibly, preferring to throw in cheap-shots whenever he gets the urge. I dont think this is the kind of behaviour that should result in an offer of a mod role. Im aware that ppl dont generally read through the Gujarat sections, but I really wonder whether those who have nominated him would do so if they had, or if his issue was with Kerala for example, instead of Gujarat. If he has the time and wants to do it, IU would be my 1st choice. Last edited by GJ10; June 23rd, 2009 at 10:50 AM. |

Whenever a problem arises in tn thread, language is a great obstacle for mods so it will be nice to have someone from tn who knows tamil well
arul murugan anniyan into salem rasnaboy(but not a senior) kannaninfratech(best choice as he is the most senior and respected person) or even me

Let's just know
1) if anyone is interested in becoming a moderator. PM us. We have received three names so far. 2) You may recommend your personal choices but avoid criticizing anyone as no short list has been made yet. |

I would vote IU too for an "overall" mod role.. He makes good posts, is pretty active and very rarely gets sucked into stupid arguments..
But obviously not everyone is active on ALL parts of the forum, so an alternative could be to have multiple mods to different sections of the forums? Just a thought..

I would nominate IU too - fair enough he's not very active in South India forums but then I don't know of any SSC india member who has an overall evenly spread posts.
Hope you put in your name IU. |

One cannot be active in all forums, threads etc. Once a person becomes a mod, he will gradually be glancing through all, but still not posting anything. And whenever an action by mods are required the forumers can PM any of them and that is how the show is being held.

Most of the members in TN-Chennai sub forum are looking after Chennai/TN forums only including me. In future SSC-India will be very big to have mods even for sub-forums! because of the increase of population even in SSC ![]() I vote for IU.
