i didn't think griffin tower was going ahead until BHP was finished anyways. Would be a logistical nightmare constructing BHP with griffin going ahead at the same time!

Speaking of resi towers, that article says luke saracini is waiting for the govts waterfront plans before he goes ahead with 18 the esplanade so maybe resi is still on the table.

Living away from Perth for the last two and a half years I can really see the changes every time I go back now. I put most of the improvements down to a combination of immigrants bringing new ideas to the city, returning expats bringing back what they have learned elsewhere and extra travel by the locals opening minds to alternatives.

I really have high hopes for inner city Perth over the next decade or so. The city does not have the same physical limitations that affect Sydney and Brisbane CBDs (or transport issues) so I see no reason why the population shouldn't continue to grow at over 10% for that period. If the city council and the state government can agree to new projects such as tram lines, foreshore redevelopment and rail line sinking the inner city should grow even further beyond that.

Roll on Perth!

Perth (COP) and Vincent are approx 2000 ppl per sq km, where as in sydney amd melb there inner city pop is between 10000-15000 ppl per sq km, so Perth deff has potential. Its also a good property investment opportunity as well.

Couldnt agree more. Apart from nickle and exploration (drilling) the resource sector is still ticking along very nicely. Our business has had a solid year of growth from our WA customers, but Africa is FLAT OUT booming atm!!

I meant the turret-style roof of the building to the right of that photo. Compare that to the render, which has a completely flat roof.
