Wow, I had no idea.
Is it too late to get them now? Man, that sucks that I hate festivals. Why can't it be a free shoe giveaway or something actually useful.

How do I contact the promoter? And is it too late to get tickets now? You get me some pineapple tarts and I'll give you some free tickets. That's a pretty good deal, no? Nah, cool by me. You can have them. At least someone will benefit. I will be far, far away.

which reminds me....I feel your pain sanj. People I know believe me when I BS but don't when I'm telling the truth. True Story.
case in point: (during a meeting) boss: "So what have you been working on these days?" me: "Nothing! I haven't done any real work in weeks" boss: "yeah right. nice try" me: "No I'm serious, all I've done is drink coffee and pick my nose" boss: "You're a funny bugger" (distracted>>>move onto some other topic) |

the local promoter is boomtick, i imagine it will prob be too late for parklife but give them a call, you never know. let them know your apartment faces wellington square etc and that you believe you are entitled to 4 tickets for the inconvenience. it might end up being 2 but even that will be good.

You should've said something earlier Sank!
I just rang Boomtick and they still have tickets but she said I need to get to their office with ID and proof that I live there by 5pm TODAY to get the tickets. Today's their cut off. I've gotta hurry home for the Mooncake Festival tonight and don't have any kind of proof on me. Urgh. Sorry pal

Did a live art gig at the media/sponsor launch for the beaufort st festival tonight at clarences. Was cool to hear the organizers talking about their love of the street. And the finger food was amazing, so my next dinner out will be there.

![]() Only a fellow gook would know about Michael Learns To Rock. But hey, it makes up for my dislike of tofu, no?

no it doesnt.
nothing makes up for a vegetarian gook not liking tofu as if vegetarianism isnt bad enough (which trust me, it is). what is it with you yellow people and your love of terrible ballads btw? walking through a malaysian shopping centre makes me stabby for that very reason

the absolute worst was when that lemon tree song was popular though. that, along with the bodyguard song, haunted me in the 90s in singapore.

I always despised boy bands like the Backdoor Boys. (and rubbish like Stock Aitken Waterman stuff before that)

Ahahaha...I remember that Lemon Tree song.
'That Bodyguard song'?? Whitney's 'I Will Always Love You'? Are you serious?? That song is epic. I came across her performance of it at the 1994 Grammys...sends shivers up your spine, this was when her voice was at its prime....gimme a sec to find it... Yeah, I'm an aberration. Not sure why I don't like tofu but I don't. Unless it has copious amounts of chilli/lemongrass/coriander with it.

At Hi-Mart on Barrack St (Korean supermarket)...
...there are two guys who sing Korean pop songs all day, whilst serving customers...the music is *the* gayest pop music ever, they just stand there, smiling, singing, saying thankyou come again, singing some more... ..they even home-made sell mix-CD's of the latest Korean pop.. Its hilarious! PS - my start time today: 12.30. Tomorrow: 11.00 Day after: 12.00 I freakin love this job...we had a small(ish) boozup last night at the gallery, everyone very excited about William St... |
