This is complemented by ingenious design that implies a feel of twist in the towers yet cleverly maximises views from each apartment. The balconies wrap around the tower volume so that the design beautifully articulates the modern urban architectural context.

PROJECT: MARINA MALL EXPANSION

Even now going there on the weekend is like National Day traffic. It'll be pretty bad once that hotel opens.

Are they also taking out parking spaces, or is the expansion going to be limited to the open area directly southwest of the mall?

Most probably the parking spaces will be demolished the entire parking and the southwest part will be a mall and as from the picture it seems that centerpoint will be inside the mall in future it will be a supermall and if not mistaken will be the second largest after Yas mall as still we dont know what the size of the expansion will be

Yes, the Marina mall Ikea closed once the Yas Island location opened. The Marks & Spencer moved into the majority of the old Ikea space. This happened a few years back...

The Canal Walk Project contributes to the comprehensive development plans envisioned by Abu Dhabi Muncipality for the Emirate, which also meets the demands for the growing tourism industry. Its uniqueness touches the aspirations of the new generation and serves as a bridge between the past and the present through the scenic gathering of Al Maqta Bridge and Al Maqta Tower on one hand and between the fine components of a modern walkway on the other hand. This encapsulates the 2030 vision that Abu Dhabi Government has to combine tradition with contemporary design in all of its projects.
