I have been to Ilorin and the muslim tradition thing is a bit relax and simple...unlike the one in the North, I dont know why its so much different in their behaviour and characters.

The Fulanis wanted to colonize Yorubaland and they move southwards, they took hold of Ilorin and the city had its first emir in 1831. The Muslims in Ilorin are very much like the Muslims in Ibadan, they were not exposed to the initial wave of Islam. That's why they are different to the Muslims in the north.
