HaiZhu Tram

Photoed by @终于进年级300的CRH380A-2722

Some of stations have these colorful glasses . It's a kind of Cantonese decoration .

The trams are powered by the batteries on it's roof , these grey boxes . When the tram arrive at the station , a pantograph will raise and charge for about 30 seconds .

Different kinds of painting on the tram , becomes attracting point of HaiZhu Tram . The number of passenger is so low that the authority do this to boost the growth .
Look , the double -deck bus is in the back ~~

Almost every tram has it's own theme .

By this way to power the tram , the "landscape" would not be damaged , I think it is ridiculous .

Anyway , it is the first tram in China that powered by batteries .

There is a window behind the driver cab so that you can have a driver view on the tram .

You just pay 2 yuan (about 0.3 USD) , to ride the tram . It would be enjoyable journey to take tram to go to work , compare to the crowded metro lines underground .

More tram lines are planned , so I look forward to their finish !

XiLang (西朗) Station and GuangFo line

Photoed by @CRH380A-2722_ADTranz-SIEMENS

The second floor at the XiLang sta. is the the passage between GuangFo line and Line 1 , you can watch the trains running through the window.

Tips : "666" in Chinese cyberword means "very skillful at something"

GuangFo line (XiLang - YanGang section) opened on 28,Dec,2015.

The simple style strip map on the PSD .

B3 train made by Changchun Railway Vehicles . 4-car train , 27 set in total , 14 trains in blue , the other 13 in red . 6 more sets were purchased for the second phrase of GuangFo line (from KuiQi Rd. to XinChengDong)

The red B3 rolling stock at Shayong sta.

Cross platform is accessible at ShaYuan Sta.

Transfer guidance of ShaYuan Sta. , made by @MidzukiKONNO_ , on of the admin of @广州地铁服务资讯 (GuangZhou Metro Service Update)
The length of rolling stocks of line 8 (6A) is much longer than the GuangFo line's (4B) . So the length on the platform is much different .

Somebody can tell more ?
Thanks

20,000 /day for a 7.7 km km long line with half of the TOD developments still under construction? That is really impressive ridership. Also the line opened only 2 years ago.

All "L" rolling stock of GuangZhou metro were made by CSR Sifang Co Ltd. , including L2 rolling stock . The name of type is marked on the tight of it's head (on the left we see). And the train number is on the left .

These 30 sets 6-car trains were all made from 2008~2010 . So the oldest one of L2 has served us for 8 years .

These "L" trains are good at pass through the hard curve .

Actually the length of the 6 car L type train set is just over 100m. L type cars are only 17 meters long.

He meant a Siemens Train, which is obviously A-size. Their cars are longer than 22 m AFAIK.

Excluding the Guangfo metro 276.2km in 2017.

After a massive explosion of metro openings in 2017 length will be 469.8km in the end of 2017 if all goes well.
