2. Line 5 East, Wenchong to Huangpu Keyungang, 9.8 km, 5 stations.
3. 2nd phase of line 7, Daxuecheng Nan to Luogang Bei, 19.9 km, 9 stations.
4. Line 8 North, Baiyun Hu to Guangzhou Beizhan, 16.8 km, 9 stations.
5. Line 10, Shipaiqiao to Xilang, 20 km, 12 stations, takes over line 3 branch to Tianhe Keyunzhan.
6. Line 12, Xunfenggang to Daxuecheng Nan, 33.8 km, 25 stations.
7. 2nd phase of line 13, Yuzhu to Chaoyang, 33.8 km, 20 stations

So no more useful.
I note a region with intersections of several railways, just to the southwest of central Guangzhou, but across the wide pink line that borders Guangzhou. A blue line with number 5 goes in this direction, but does not reach it.

What is the name of that region? What is there?

On the above figues I would say that the Guangzhou metro ridership sould go pass Seoul into third place on the list taking into account the additions to the system this year.

Unless I've missed it somewhere, what do the line colors and descriptions represent in English?

It looks like blue = existing, red = under construction and green = planned?

Thanks for finding the PDF version!

Red and green are the other way round. Green says "Zaijian Xianlu" = routes under construction.

Nice that Line 12 will use 6 car Type A trains. However I and many people on Ditiezu were secretly hoping for 8 car long type A trains for this line. Guangzhou needs all the capacity it can build.
