Islamic Classical Architecture

Islamic architecture encompasses a wide range of both secular and religious styles from the foundation of Islam to the present day, influencing the design and construction of buildings and structures in Islamic culture. the building show the wealth of the person that lives in it. The principal Islamic architectural types are: the Mosque, the Tomb, the Palace and the Fort. From these four types, the vocabulary of Islamic architecture is derived and used for buildings of lesser importance such as public baths, fountains and domestic architecture.

The mosque in Xi'an is pure Chinese architecture.

Oh! I didn't know the blue mosque was byzantine architecture. Sorry!

It was build in Byzantine style by a Turkish architect (Turkish school differs from Greek school, btw). So it's not really Byzantine architecture.

I love the munghal designs from India and Pakistan and the tile work from Iran.

The Chinese mosque is indeed more Tibetan in style than Islamic, except for arabic calligraphic inscriptions and there being no statues..
The Blue mosque is I would say an evoltion of Byzantine architecture. HagiaSophia represents a true example of byzantine architecture. However, note that the inclusion of Minarets was a latter modification. also, most mosques in Turkey have compounded domes and are heavily adorned with Islamic architectural elements, such as mini domes, arches, Makaranas, and calligraphy.

Shah faisal Mosque in Pakistan is an example of contemporary Islamic architecture.

Islamic Architecture is not about which region its from! It is based on any architecture but with a large blend of Islamic triditions. like example, the hagea sopeia is origanally Byzantine but after the ottomans claimed Istanbul, It was renovated into a different architechure. I'm preety sure the Hagea Sopeia is not the same ever since the ottomans came!
