Alot of Brutalism Architecture on that link there. Good thing the grey commonwealth building lives in CP's shadow.

I love this quote on that link;
"Commonwealth Bank, Perth, date unknown. Well, this will polarise for sure. A rough concrete tower, in the sea of mediocrity. Built today, any building on a Terrace facing site would have every surface clad with the latest shade of triple glazed eco-glass. This building says - "fuck you, don't even think about coming in, we will rip your fucking balls off and feed them to you, and you may never actually escape". Perfect for a bank, then."

Fantastic to see it starting to make an impact on the skyline. Will be awesome when it is reaches its max height. Will add a further dimension to the city landscape!

I wonder if any companies in Central Park are starting to move out or planning on leaving once their views of the river go...
Perhaps none if office space is such tight to get at... If location and access is still important than i guess no one will move out over a loss of space unlike with resi......

There'll be a bunch of space available when BankWest moves out of their tower - anyone who wants views could move there.

According to Wikipedia it will be the tallest office building in Australia surpassing 120 Collins Street in Melbourne

It is if you include spire. But there are a lot of people on here who refuse to accept it -__-

I agree with them.. .the spires on City Sq do nothing for me and shouldnt be considered a part of the architectual structure.

But then we have to go by everyones judgement. The world standard is to include spires.. we should just accept that. Especially because we are a skyscraper forum. Respect the rules!

Keep the spire debate to the spire debate thread. Let's not let it hijack this thread too. Everyone's got a different opinion.

Definition of lands here is reference to reclaimed lands made by white colony settlers that is now being removed by present day white Australians. Go figure?
