26 Kenneth Thanks for showing these beautiful pictures of Panama City, Panama City actually has a strong resemblance to Miami by the height of its skyscrapers, the streets next to the beach.

Yeah I know, I've been traveling between Panama City and Miami all this year, and everyday I saw then more alike.

Panama City may look alike when you are comparing skylines but when you are comparing the cities per say, they look nothing alike. if you step beyond the skyline and go into the actual city, it begins to look more like a developing country rather than the developed country the skyline may make it appear to be. therefore Miami is imo more like Hawaii, Brisbane or San Diego (though the skyline is nowhere near as big).

Well, I respect your opinion, is true of Panama City is a city in development, but remember that you will not always be so, this year began the construction of a monorail and one of the few of you can view in a city development is a place called Calidonia, remember that every city has its share sub developed.
I can show photos of Panama City, streets, highways and streets is really a very different place to the other Latin countries.
Sincerely your friend and very important point.

Forgive me for having difficulty understanding you on your first post here to this forum, but it sounds as if you're having difficulty with your Spanglish. Would you care to elaborate a bit more on your comment there? Are you suggesting that Miami's skyline is "nowhere near as big" as San Diego's? San Diego has a relatively small skyline. Brisbane I'm not sure about, and Hawaii is a state, not a city. If you're referring to Honolulu, once again, no where near as big as the greater Miami area's towers in height or amount.

I don't understand you... What's the problem with Panama's being a developing Country, we are talking about cities: Panama City, Miami and Honolulu. and believe me everyday Panama and Miami are more alike.

Just want to say the show CSI:MIAMI takes place most of the time in Long Beach, California.Rarely they would need to take a set in Miami for some episodes. So in case none of you don't know how it looks, here it is.

Melbourne

Perth

Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia

And are you also saying that Miami looks more like Melbourne, Australia or its Gold Coast than Honolulu or Panama City?

Eventually Miami will have the tall buildings like Melbourne does, and will be just as bustling with millions of people, but we have a while on that one... until then, Miami is comparable to some of the smaller South American cities, in my opinion.

Such as?? I think you mean Caribbean or Central America.

Most of South American cities are located in deserts, The Andes and not-tropical-at-all regions (Buenos Aires, Santiago, Lima, Montevideo, La paz, Rosario, Cordoba). The only tropical cities in South America coming to mind are Sao Paolo and Rio, but those cities are mostly like a mix of Tokyo and New York; Rio looking more like Hong Kong. This is a big NO for your Miami - South American comparison.

Caribbean places, my friend. Go South of the Ecuador and you won't see your crystal clear water, palm trees tropical cities.

When someone talks about South America, it is asumed a person is talking about a Non CARIBBEAN or CENTRAL AMERICAN region. Even though Cartagena is part of South America, it is not an example of a South American city. Other minor cities in Brazil can match it, but no South American city, I reckon, is similar to Miami, maybe in terms of waterfront.

AUSTRALIA is definitely the only place on earth similar, veeeeeeeeeeery similar, to Miami.
