So is it true that this building "faces" inland or south?

It's more visible from the Happy Valley side, although some units do face the harbour.

Wan Chai sensation
The Standard
Thursday, May 12, 2011

The prized location of Wan Chai means new projects are always in short supply. So if you are on the lookout for classy new estates in the area, The Oakhill is bound to top the list.

Featuring unparalleled design and top-notch materials, this 58-story luxury property on Wood Road has already become very popular among both investors and end-users.

The first reason for its appeal is that the project towers over the busy district from a height of more than 170 meters.

And the hill-backed development will likely remain the highest luxury estate in Wan Chai facing Victoria Harbour in the foreseeable future.

Every Oakhill home is specially designed to face the south, complying with the Chinese arrangement of traditional construction metaphysics. Residents of all high-level flats will also enjoy stunning, sweeping views of Happy Valley Racecourse.

No surprise then that the project has generated huge interest since its launch. Sharp investors now have the stellar chance to scoop up five select high-level homes and two top-level special sky houses.

The top level of The Oakhill has two prestigious stylish mansion-like units sprawling over 3,000 square foot. Each comprises four en suites with an 800-sq- ft sky garden, and both are equipped with first-class European home appliances.

The five high-level flats are sized at 1,551 sq ft, with three bedrooms and a maid's room each. Fabulous floor-to- ceiling windows in every room complement the high ceiling, while paired b
alconies in the living and dining rooms make sure the gentle breeze plays all day.

The main interior design of Oakhill has been created by the internationally renowned Dasic Architects, whose works include the CBS Building in Tokyo and the Landmark U2 Studio in Dublin.

And to the exquisite Oakhill Dasic adds a contemporary design touch.

The clubhouse is another eye- catching hotspot. Themed on Japanese gardens, a water garden links a borderless swimming pool with gurgling water curtains.

Residents are surrounded by breathtaking views of the city as they enjoy the Jacuzzi, the gym and the children's playroom, making it a perfect place to relax and unwind.

A number of prestigious schools in Wan Chai create an ideal setting for families with children.

And grown-ups need no introduction to the area's fame as a recreational mecca, with a wide variety of big shopping malls nearby, including Times Square and Pacific Place, and fine restaurants.

The icing on this irresistible cake is the comprehensive and convenient transport links that The Oakhill boasts.

Wan Chai MTR station is just a five- minute walk away, from where it's a few minutes' ride to Central and Tsim Sha Tsui. Cross-border transport services also ensure quick access to the mainland via Shenzhen.
