Passons au Jay Pritzker Pavilion dessine par Frank Gehry a l'insistance de la famille Pritzker, proprietaire de la chaine Hyatt Regency notamment.
Le pavillon est de 120 pieds de haut, avec une "coiffe" de rubans en acier inoxydable qui encadrent la scène. Le pavillon se connecte à un treillis de tubes en acier qui rappelle le corps d'une abeille et qui definissent deux espaces compementaires: les sieges et le salon pelouse. Le Pavillon a 4000 sièges fixes et peut contenir 7.000 personnes supplémentaires sur la pelouse. Avec son auvent acoustique en plein air, le Jay Pritzker Pavilion est l'un des lieux les plus technologiquement avancés de concert en plein air dans le monde, avec des innovations en son numériques qui font que quelquesoit l'endroit ou vous vous trouvez sous la nef tubulaire en acier la meme qualite de son est reproduite. C'est absolument extraordinaire. Le Pavillon est le siege permanent de l'Orchestre, nominés aux Grammy Awards, Grant Park et Chorus. Le Grant Park Music Festival est le seul festival des USA absolument gratuit de musique classique. Ce festival se tient chaque ete. Le Jay Pritzker Pavilion a ete inaugure en 2004 et il a coute 475 millions de dollars.
