Tuticorin and Kumari will get 200 SLF buses

With the introduction of many new buses , it is high time that the govt should think of aligning the timing of buses. esp on long distance routes...for eg chennai tiruchy route is served by SETC, TNSTC- KBM, TNSTC- VPM . Each corporation has their own timing charts and in the end . 2 or 3 buses head for the same place. both the buses will be not have full occupancy. if they coordinate and regulate the timing say 15 mins between each bus then the loss can be minimised . Now even private players are having proper arrangements to ensure no two buses ply to the same place at the same time. The govt transport corporation should follow the same

No, Erode bus stand is the better one when compared to Nellai BS, so Erode to stay above to Nellai in the given list.

I have went through the wikipedia pages about Vilupuram.
In that it is saying that Villupuram is the second top bus stand next to the CMBT chennai.

Do you have any views about this?

I know this. It is edited too old. So I am sure that they(admins) would approved it.
And in wikimapia too its just user comments only and it requires no approves.
So it will not be true informations.
But in wikipedia it is not like that.
Wikipedia is far far better than wikimapia

Well.. Villupuram is a Gateway to Chennai from major parts of the state. All the buses from the state, except for the buses from Dharmapuri, Krishnagiri, Hosur, Vellore, will have to pass through Villupuram. Most of the buses halt at Villupuram Bus Stand during the day time, and on weekdays when the bus is not full end-to-end. We can say that the number of buses passing through Villupuram is more than other bus stands in the state. But yet, I am not sure if all those numbers put together will make Villupuram match with Trichy or Salem. But it will be close.

some 2 months back i travelled by an SETC HIGHWAY RIDER(H123) from tambaram to tiruchi...it took just 5 hrs from TBM to TPJ in the morning....with one stop at villupuram all other towns were bypassed...even though the bus had only about 20 people.

Vellor to Chennai

Hi guys,

Today it happened for me to travel from Vellor to Chennai. So, after thinking i took MTC Volvo to make an better travel @ 12 noon as the hot was at gr8 peak.

Its very clearly metioned in the front glass that the travel time would be around 2.30 mins.

But the travel time was just 2 hrs. [Ofcourse its Volvo]

Fare..... Ya as mentioned its 145/-

There were few modifications made for the seats as this is on bit long haul.

Throughout the journey it was a silent and a cool one in this hot summer.

Thanks
Chandy

Nice piece of information Chandy. It would have been nice if there were hand-rests between the two seats.

Sticking the travel time on the windshield makes it look ugly and cheap. They are making a costly bus look like some time table board.

What is the need to mention this on the windshield? I haven't seen anything like that before. Why stop with only the timing? Why not print a route map and some Saravana Stores ad?

If at all they want to display any info, it must be part of the scrolling electronic board.
