sir how u r saying this is from TNSTC Nellai? Because the registrations are not 72 / 74.
How u r confirming that it is Nellai division bus?
And can u tell me about this bus type look.... Because u stated that its a brand new....

I'm a regular follower of TNSTC-CBE and TNSTC-MDU(MDU and DGL regions). Based on the registrations nos, im telling they are brand new.The buses were looking fresh too. Hope you have seen my blog and the details which i've been putting in this forum.

The buses had "Arasu perundhu - thirunelveli" written in the front glass and also in the body.

Also no route exists between CBE and Kadayanallur via POY, PLN before i saw this bus. Its a fresh route.

It was raining, so i couldn't able to take the pic. For sure you can expect the pic of TN38 N 2356. others i cannot guarantee.

அவர் வெளியிட்டுள்ள செய்திக்குறிப்பு: தீபாவளி பண்டிகை நவ., 5ம் தேதி கொண்டாடப்படுவதை முன்னிட்டு தமிழ்நாடு அரசு போக்குவரத்துக் கழகம் விழுப்புரம் கோட்டத்தில் உள்ள அனைத்து மண்டலங்கள் சார்பில் நவ., 3ம் தேதி முதல் 8ம் தேதி வரை 480 சிறப்பு பஸ்கள் இயக்கப்படுகின்றன.
சென்னையிலிருந்து திருச்சிக்கு 100 பஸ்களும்,
சென்னையிலிருந்து சேலத்திற்கு 36,
தஞ்சாவூருக்கு 25,
கும்பகோணத்திற்கு 10,
மதுரைக்கு 10,
திருவண்ணாமலைக்கு 22, போளூருக்கு 10 , ஆரணிக்கு எட்டு, செய்யாருக்கு ஏழு,
சிதம்பரத்திற்கு 25,
நெய்வேலி நகரத்திற்கு 10 பஸ்கள் இயக்கப்படுகிறது.மேலும் சென்னையிலிருந்து திண்டிவனத்திற்கு 27 பஸ்கள், கள்ளக்குறிச்சி 10, விழுப்புரம் 25, வேலூர் 20, ஆற்காடு 4, குடியாத்தம் 3, திருப்பத்தூர் 3, கல்பாக்கம் 5, காஞ்சிபுரம்13, சேத்பட் 5 பஸ்கள் இயக்கப்படும்.



திருவண்ணாமலையிலிருந்து பெங்களூருவிற்கு 15 பஸ்களும், விழுப்புரத்திலிருந்து பெங்களூரு விற்கு 5,
வேலூரிலிருந்து பெங்களூருவிற்கு 10,
வேலூரிலிருந்து ஓசூருக்கு 15, வேலூரிலிருந்து தர்மபுரிக்கு 10, வேலூரிலிருந்து சேலத்திற்கு 10 பஸ்களும் இயக்கப்படுகின்றன. மேலும் தாம்பரத்திலிருந்து திண்டிவனத்திற்கு 7 பஸ்களும், தாம்பரத்திலிருந்து விழுப்புரத்திற்கு 6 பஸ்களும், தாம்பரத்திலிருந்து திருவண்ணாமலைக்கு 6 பஸ்களும், திருவண்ணாமலையிலிருந்து வேலூருக்கு 8 பஸ்களும், சென்னையிலிருந்து புதுச்சேரிக்கு 4 பஸ்களும் இயக்கப்படவுள்ளன.விழுப்புரம் கோட்டம் சார்பில் முக்கிய பஸ் நிலையங்கள், திருச்சி, மதுரை, சேலம், பெங்களூரு பஸ் நிலையங்களில் சிறப்பு பஸ்களின் இயக்கத்தை கண்காணிக்க 3ம் தேதி முதல் 8ம் தேதி வரை மேலாளர்கள் மற்றும் பணியாளர்கள் நியமிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளனர். மேலும் சென்னை கோயம்பேடு, விழுப்புரம் பஸ் நிலையங்களில் ஒயர்லெஸ் கருவிகளுடன் கூடிய கட்டுப்பாட்டு அறை, பயணிகள் சேவை மையம் அமைத்து தேவைக்கேற்ப கூடுதல் சிறப்பு பஸ்கள் இயக்கப்படும். இவ்வாறு பொது மேலாளர் பரமசிவம் தெரிவித்துள்ளார்.

I think they have transferred all the newly built buses from other divisions to Nellai.

CBE-Kadayanallur route helps POY and UDT get its first connection to Srivilliputhur and other near by areas. Saw this around 1.45 PM at madurai.

Already we have one POY-Rajapalayam bus which starts from POY at 4.00 PM.

You have very good knowledge of current running series and routes!... keep it up... thanks for sharing the info...

Btw from this, one can see the disparity in allocation of new buses to southern districts - TN 72 which caters to both Nellai and TUty district, the running number is around 1300-1400 (residents in the region can correct if I am wrong).

You are right about the TN72 series. I have seen many TN72/74 registered buses with TNSTC-MDU(Dindigul region). Also they are running with TNSTC-VPM too.

Noted one more TN29 registered bus in TNSTC-Nellai division today.

TN29 N 2304. having the board as Kaliakavilai.

You are the right person to answer this question. Wondering which series has the highest running sequence..

TN 01, 02 are well ahead, but outside Chennai, My guess is on TN 32, 33, 23, 45

Madurai / Coimbatore had their numbers changed from 59 to 58 and 37 to 38, so they are not leaders after Chennai..

Is it general or related to TNSTCs?

If it is TNSTC, then 32 and 45 will be the leaders. Both are in 3XXX series. 33 is still in 25XX series. 29 is in 23XX and 30 is still in 1000, 58 is 18XX series. 38 is in 23XX series. 72 and 74 will cross 14XX this year.

For general, latest series can be seen here. Not updated for all RTOs.

Thanks! I asked for TNSTC.

The website for general shows the starting number for today or later. So if the data is not updated today for a particular series then that series will not be displayed. On an average you will get to see some 50-70 series every day..

Dhandapani, Actually TNSTC - SLM old buses had Regd.No as TN-27 and recently added(!) buses has TN-30. . That's why you could see the TN-30 as 1XXX series.

Yes. Same is the case with CBE(TN 38...Old 37), MDU(TN58..Old 59), KMU(TN68...Old 49).

TNSTC-CBE phased out TN37 registered long back. But TNSTC-MDU kept running few TN59 registered till last year.

Kumbakonam region got TN68 registration from last year only. It happened because Kumbakonam got separate RTO number from last year or so.

Actually TNSTC VPM is ahead in the race of leading number series.
TNTSC VPM is running in 34XX series. The latest bus i have seen in pondy is TN-32.N.3412. Running b/w Pondy and VPM.

As far as i know only MTC is running profitable. TNSTC and SETC is running out of profit. Especially SETC is worst. The reason behind this loss is because of high ticket fare, no proper maintenance, no proper connectivity, etc.....

TNSTC is much better When compare to SETC.

Suggestion to make SETC profitable.

* Maintenance
* Reasonable ticket fare
* Intercity connectivity like other state transportation (KSRTC, Kerala RTC)
* Reducing traveling time

The same applies to TNSTC's

According to previous audits published in a tamil news paper(i dont have the source) nagercoil sub division is the one running with more losses. But for nellai it would be fine i suppose which is evident from the routes that it operates particularly nellai -MDU, Tutucorin and tenkasi which runs fully loaded in most occassions.

Thank you my friend. But one of my colleagues father working in TNSTC - MDU. He is an Assistant Manager of TNSTC - MDU division. I got this info from my colleague that the TNSTC divisions are running out of profit. But not like SETC.
