Guys, i saw a new Pseudo - UD SETC met with an accident, moving towards Chennai. If someone have the news article, just post it here.

These may be TML ones.

Also if at all you mean Pseudo UD's as the one's which does't have air surpension, then its unlikely that they will exist in near future.
There are indications that they will be retro fitted with air suspension (lile newly ordered 12M's).

Salem-Erode-Ooty




Some erode region routes are extended to Salem after fare hike i think If am wrong correct me. Last week also i posted Salem-Erode-Mysore bus pics because Salem destination stickers are placed above Erode stickers in front wind shield, in back side also Salem destination sticker is small above erode sticker.Any body knows details please post it.I enquired with driver he told departure time is 10pm

Thanks, Work for new buses is in progress. Almost all the buses will launch in Green colour. Not sure about the reason I guess they making Green colour as standard for Express fare buses orelse due to "J' effect

Thanks for the reply sir. JJ is the reason for Green colour buses.Is there is any super delux buses take place in Vpm,Salem region in new lots? When will new buses ceremony & where it will organize sir?

Yes Rajesh, it'll go via Salem only. But mostly this bus will get filed in Madurai itself. So it by pass Salem.

15mins is a minimum traffic time i think.... you will be getting more delay (sometimes 35mins) in peak hours..... Erode definitely needs a 4-laned scheme road connecting sankari road and busstand....

And b/w, why don't they introduce Ero-60 service??? (with the great success of Ero-100 s)

Its nice to hear that TNSTC SLM back to gr8 speed, i think after t fare hike some restrictions are removed otehrwise pvt players in western region who hav gr8 buses will swallow up the STU s.

Usually b4 4laning of NH47 itself buses during night time used to cover SLM-ERD in 1hr. Normally buses take 40 mins or more to reach Sankari itself, then they would rush towards Erode on the state highway from there.
After 4 laning also our BPR epress buses on SLM-CBE took more time. Its good they operate with good speed and also pick up passengers, sometimes it would be annoying to see STC drivers chase pvt buses as if chasing but actually they wont overtake, bcos t conductor of STC bus would have got money form pvt bus to run behind them and not to stop in small places(pvt will stop to pick up all passengers and the STC which follows behind will run empty) apart from important stops.
Buses usually crawl till kondalampatty and leave one behind the other, with all buses getting full there itself, the rest will be standing. If t bus speeds from CBS itself then it can save some time b4 it touches NH47 four lane.
Anyway hope the ride was gr8 and pleasant.

There are five such buses in TNSTC SLM which run in the afternoon to Chennai around 12-30 departure till 1;30pm. All these five services have gr8 run.

I don know where exactly is Rajapalayam, there is an SETC bus from Kozhikode to Rajapalayam via Triruchi. It seems, it is a new service.

Yes. IRT already called for a tender for fitting air suspension systems. Are you sure that they are TML ones? Havent seen any TML 12Ms Pseudo UDs with SETC yet. I thought SETC is a full AL guy.

To my knowledge SETC didnt have any TML Fleet. I havent seen any.

Performance wise tech experts can comment. But i love AshLeys than TMLs.

It will be hard to believe SETC's (TTC) Marthandam depot had one TATA bus before long back which ran between Marthandam - Tirchy. The bus met accidents continously and rolled in many places. Still i remember

Yes saw many times in Palanganatham Madurai bustand in 94, 95(Reno correct me if im wrong).On that time i use to go Virudhunagar from Madurai, most of the time i will get private buses only, it will go upto 90kmph, at that time this SETC's (TTC) will overtake my bus.It happend manytimes.But i didnt travel on that bus very sad.

When SETC was called JJTC, there were many TML buses which were operating between BLR-MAS, they were built at Azad/Jaico in BLR
Regarding performance, each STC have there own bench marks and procure accordingly, In KSRTC/NWKRTC/NEKRTC/BMTC where they give highest importance to FE, they have mostly become TML operator by shunning AL, few years ago they had TML/AL buses in ratio of 60:40 and they had depots which had AL or TML only and RH were exclusive AL, now it is almost 90:10 and now they rarely procure AL buses

Rajapalayam is on NH 208, on Madurai-Tenkasi Route.
there was already an SETC in Kozhikode- Kayalpattinam operated by Sencottah Depot of SETC. So this Kozhikode-Rajapalayam might be new Service.
It may take Kozhikode-Palakkad-Pollachi-Palani-Madurai-Rajapalayam route...

I have never seen any private buses in kanyakumari district. is it true? or just that i missed?
