I fell into that "two cities close together" trap for the very first time. Gone is my perfect score

Stupid, but on the other hand: can one see city limits on Google Maps/Earth? I think not.

Concerning the "commie block": you got the correct answer because you went for the most evident, best known option, where as others did some more research. Anyway, if the responsible mod(s) keep it this way, another perfect score is gone

And while I could agree with the lost points in Guess the Satellite, I can't with those in Guess the City.

@ La Repuvlica: please remove the name from your post!!! Combined with what's been written before you make it very easy now for the people who haven't guessed yet...

What I meant is that I guessed the real city of the commie block, not the one GTC thinks is correct. So I also got only 1 point.

Something is seriously wrong with GTC and GTS... it is kinda delicate to discuss it in public, but is quite urgent, which mod can I address (can fix it) who won't use it to his own advantage to score points?

Jan is maybe on a littke holiday.

On the picture with the coloured balconies. On Flickr the pictures and names of the city are not all that corrrect. After looking into the pictures from panoramia on G.E. i guess the building i guessed was not the correct one. But Jan made the same mistake. When buildings look alike there is a problem.

And if someone calls me a cheat he gets the finger.

What do you mean? That both flickr and Jan are wrong and it's neither?

Did you take a good look at the high-res photo 3tmk posted (comment #14) ?
If you count the balconies and look at the colors, you can clearly see it's the same building - which is the same one it says on the flickr page. None of the other buildings (although they may look very similar) have that same pattern.

Those guesses are probably from people who enter the same city every day (e.g. New York) hoping that they will score a point someday

But yeah, no pic, Jan probably didn't come online yet today, and I guess he still is the one responsible for "XL: guess the city"

And pasajero2 on top: it is possible he was already gradually climbing to the top, but that we only noticed it once he entered the top-5... I did the same in GTC and GTS, I only entered the competition quite late, and "catched up". But it still took some time to find them all... And now, thanks to the blue-yellow-red building in guess the city, and the tricky one in guess the satellite, I lost that maximum which took a lot of time and energy to obtain. Oh well, it's only a game (but I still want my points for the apartment building).
