look how they hold the roof with stand... like former roof of Trabzon Avni aker stadium.
![]() ours will be better than this one. Actually I guess ours will be one of the most beautiful stadiums in Europe. |

Nothing wrong with Berlin's roof. It's the most beautiful stadium I've been inside.

My limited taste? Hehe.
I've been in the stadium and the columns really are not a problem, it's a fantastically good and sensitve modernisation of an old stadium. It's an architectural masterpiece and the whole project of modernising this stadium was a quite brilliant feat of engineering and restoration. Have a read of this: http://www.kuk.de/content/akt/pub/127.pdf Last edited by RobH; April 3rd, 2010 at 10:36 PM. |

I saw berlin's stadium only by the outside...but I think it's a very nice stadium, better than olimpico di roma and ataturk

yes. Supporting rings like at Stuttgart, Frankfurt are not possible in berlin, because of the gap in the stand

Next season to be wundered in bundesliga 2...
So when we´re going to dig out that terrible atletic track. I know not possible because of monument stuff, but a hypermodern lower the pitch (and away goes the track) thing should be possible no? Then things should be able to bring back in original state if nescesary? |

Why the hell would they butcher classic of Euro sports architecture? Hertha can't sell out even now, so there's no need for additional seats. What Hertha needs is new and far smaller stadium on other location. Leave this stadium alone

IMO this is the only stadium in the entire world that has a beautiful track ... it has alot to do with the areas surrrounding the track being grey instead of brown |

The Olympia Stadion is one of my favourite stadiums in the World. It's superbly modernised and it looks so elegant and classe. As far as a regular week in-week out football stadium for a club it's not the best - but as a monument and international stadium and historic piece it's simply awesome.
Also I can't say I dislike the pillers in the stand at all. I would hate them in most stadiums but here it's done quite tastefully and as severl point out they're needed due to historic reasons. |

North of the Olympiastadion, there is an aquatics stadium that was used for the swimming and water polo events of the 1936 Summer Olympics. It currently looks like it needs a refurbishment.

It currently looks like a ruin (which it basicall is), to be exactly.
I doubt that it would make sense to renovate and reopen it as a public swimming pool. There are plenty of lakes around and Berlin has a state-of-the-art aquatics centre (with roof) in the Eastern part of the city.
