Now that we have a Kenyan Forum...

We vigorously advocated for our own forum, and finally we got one. There are some issues we need to talk about first,

1. Who is the MOD?we need a serious MOD who will keep order in this forum.

2. We need active participation.Lets not just be onlookers, if you can find a picture,a news article anything about Kenya that you think the world should know/see,please post it.Even if you don't have anything to post, a "thank you" comment to the people who post pictures or find interesting articles about Kenya, would be much appreciated.

3.Let us not be shy to talk about issues affecting Kenya.BUT, in the right threads. We should not post articles/pictures/videos of politics/crime in the wrong threads.eg a classic example is Ewangai's post on crime in Nairobi posted in the Nairobi Pictures thread. This is unacceptable. Please start your own thread in the right section to post whatever issue you would like to be discussed.

4. As much as we would like to talk about issues affecting Kenya, let us not let it degenerate into tribal verbal attacks. We would not like this place to be another Mashada.(Mashada is a Kenyan forum which is popular for all the wrong reasons).

5.Sometimes its good to post less serious stuff. All work and No play makes Jack a dull boy.If you can find videos of Kenyan standup comedy, sitcoms, funny videos or stories, then post them .

6.For the Kenyan posters in here, let us do our best to promote the forum to other Kenyans.Use your Facebook, blog or even your mailing address book, and inform them about the Forum.the More the Merrier.

Otherwise, hopefully this forum will grow to be very popular and enjoyable. The work begins....

Excellent news everyone, I congratulate all of you for this achievement..
Let us support each other in making Kenya forum, the most sophisticated forum in SSC, something, which correlates closely to Kenya’s prestige as the most active economy in Africa.

papaf thanx for your support. although i would like to be a mod i just have to throw my support behind KENGUY. the guy is a veteran here, i found him here, he visits the forum atleast every other day, his contribution is very significant because at times he kept kenyan threads going all by himself he also gets us the inside information. i consider him a senior member hence will vote for mr KENGUY because he has earned it.

Kenguy is .

Mwana and Kisumu-Ndogo are good as well,,,,, can be deputies. Can a Forum have two MODs? (I presonally think it will be a good idea if they were two of them)

Was wondering. Should our photo gallery be limited to photos of urban areas and landscapes or can one post other topics which require tons of pics? eg. the Kenyan womens thread?

I would prefer any other topic unrelated to urban photography to be in our "oasis" forum.
