Beautiful shots Tony!

Never imagined the grittiness displayed in some of these pictures to come out of Switzerland!

Thanks christos-greece

Here's a bunch i forgot to post a while ago, of the Macello, a place where poverty is evident, drug flow is high, and rap concerts are held also, it's known all over the place, and to my surprise. not long ago i found out that people live in these blocks, none are abbandoned! I present you this area :

Hmm, can't say I'm impressed by the architecture, and even the best parts in the world have been devastated by those ugly 60-70-ies appartment blocks, but I can imagine that most part of the town is very nice to live.

It really depends from what you do and where. If you are a simple guy, simple working hours, and you don't go out during the night but spend time with the family at home, then you probably will only experience a few things and thats it, but for young people and people who hang around outside, be it day or night, i can assure you that it is bad in certain areas, many people won't admit to it because they want to keep a clean image of their city or because they haven't experienced anything, but all you have to do is check out the news, or just simply go out more, to realise how things are.

I'm not saying that we get murders everyday, nothing like that, but i'm saying that its not safe in some areas, and the problem is getting worser.

Let's say Lugano is improving a lot in the last years, about architecture especially.
A lot of new interesting buildings, recladding or just renovations of older historical houses.

It's quiet a dynamic city and its natural landscape is awesome.

That too, especially with the new Palazzo Mantegazza building, which in my opinion is the coolest structure in the city.

I agree!
In a few years we'll see the results of what's going on with the new cultural center U/C along the lake!

btw, I like the white building with a lot of glassy parts in front of the "Autosilo Balestra" too.

It certainly isn't what people imagine Schweiz to be, I've been to the Alpine parts of Austria and haven't seen anything like that. The thing that annoys me most are the stupid scratchings EVERYWHERE; I don't want to call them graffiti because graffiti is something I normally like, such as some of the stuff in #86.

Ha in my city (Buenos Aires) there is a neighborhood call "lugano" and I suppose that from your city come the inspiration because It seems a city with a lot of "mini commie blocks". Despite of my offtopic it look a very wonderfull city

Take a look
