Triblism may be an issue, it always is but let's remember that Thika Road is a Kibaki/ Raila plan.

On another note somebody told me the metal barriers atop thika interchange(entering thika town) had been vandalized by scrap metal dealers; i dismissed it outright because of the amount ot metal involved. Now am learning from today's standard newspaper that he was actually right. That makes the situation worse since if they can vandalize a whole bridge overnight what would prevent them from raiding the crash barriers in places like safari park where evidently there is more metal involved? Another thing, am sure Shengli's contract has nothing to do with the overpass so are we anticipating a situation where that overpass will remain this bare? |

Were you looking forward to having the tattered roads infrastructure repaired in the next few days? Well, cast that idea from your mind. Roads Minister Franklin Bett has ordered all road construction work to cease until the end of the rainy season. This order comes as more and more roads suffer the effects of the torrential downpours, which have led to a drastic deterioration of road quality all around the country. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CVTGX...layer_embedded |

still on schedule or behind- most sections should have been completed by dec 2011-14kms
no matter what.for some kenyan old habits die hard talk of stoneage mentality. does'nt matter if they acquire, seen or have new advancements. Last edited by rabutjak'aluo; December 7th, 2011 at 09:30 PM. |

The much confusing Pangani Section is now not so complex. Here is the plan.

I think the TX highways are great so are highways in Germany, South Africa etc but the focus should be on Thika highway and other construction pics in Kenya.

will this eventually be expanded so that a "ring" forms around nairobi city with exits all around it? i say this because i used to live in DC and the beltway was the greatest shit ever. school, friends, sports events, whatever were spread all over the metro area but were never far away. i just looked on google maps, my friend used to live way out there in another county but we'd hook up regularly because of the ring system.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Interst...apital_Beltway) having something similar circling nairobi would be great. |
