Noon is such a beautiful and well planned city, its just a shame that its skyline hasnt been changed much in the last 20 years.

Looks like everyone's got a slightly different list 2 through 4.

The CN Tower is no Eiffel Tower imo

I think you missed the point of what he said; he did not say the CN Tower and the Eiffel Tower were the same thing.
He simply referenced that both structures have the same importance to their respective cities.

They're the 2 best towers on the planet, just from completely different eras. I can never decide which one I like best. A certain Dutch girl many of us know echoed the same sentiment to me once.

Yeah, the CN Tower is just stunning and iconic. Probably the most famous modern landmark in the world, and its design reflects that.

Guys, I don't think the comment was somehow intended to be on point or relevant; it was simply intended to express disdainful and condescending feelings about the topic using the Eiffel Tower remark as a convenient segue.

We know. Diffusing comments intended to be inflammatory/a put down is par for the course. Taller's approach is more direct than mine, but we're both trying to get to the same place.

I'm not sure how this is even a question, Vancouver has by far the most impressive skyline. Harbors and ocean front pathways, with modern skyscrapers and majestic snow capped mountains in the distance. For those who don't pick Vancouver as the best, you have obviously never been there (on a clear day )

Toronto has a good skyline, but its just not that impressive or beautiful in my opinion. However with the rate of construction in TO it will have a pretty good looking skyline in the next 5-10 years.

Well I have Vancouver in 4th. Since when is landscape part of a city skyline?

Interesting point, in my opinion its a major part of the city skyline. How many photos of San Francisco have the bay, bridge and fog as part of the impact the skyline has. Contrasting the skyline to oceans, mountains, rivers, or hills or even landmarks is a big part.

The landscape impacts the photo. The skyline also impacts the photo. The skyline and landscape are separate components. I never ever take into account natural elements when judging a skyline. That's akin to taking into account buildings when judging how nice a mountain is.
