Toronto by a long shot. I've been to both Toronto and Vancouver and they actually are the best off the rest. But still Toronto wins it anytime anyday over Vansterdam .

Calgary, from my visit earlier in the summer:

I love Canadian skylines in general - Toronto wins for me with the height and lakeside setting, but Calgary comes very close behind.
For me its skyline has a certain charm to it, generally I find its buildings to be very good-looking, it's got great density and overall I just love Calgary as a city.
Vancouver, Montreal and Edmonton complete my top 5, but I'm certainly keen to check out other Canadian cities next time I'm over there, which will hopefully be quite soon!

Alberta has long been a far more development/business friendly province. Alberta has already passed BC in GDP and now Alberta's cities look set to do the same. Calgary's skyline is already bigger than Vancouver's. Edmonton's will likely shoot on by as well.

If I can't see the glorious mountains from my backyard, no, no, no! (according to Vancouver's Nimbies lol)

Trouble is, most haven't seen the mountains from their back yards since 1948. No easier to see the mountains through a 30 storey building than a 60 storey building.

Agree. One can only see the mountains when standing on a north-south street anyway, so it doesn't matter how tall the buildings lining it are. Once you go past 10 floors or so, views of mountains are blocked so this is really about protecting views for some select wealthy condo owners.

Average Vancouverites pay a very high price for their selfishness: far higher real estate prices than would be the case if no height limits were imposed. 30 floor condo buildings on the peninsula? Really?

I love how they built those glassy twins on the right partially in the water. It's a nod to the numerous piers that Halifax used to have. The vast majority of them have disappeared.
