Continuing my presentation of Belgrade's interwar buildings:

Serbian Journalists Association Building. It was finished in 1934 after the design of architect Ernest Vajsman, as a cubic-shaped house with a symmetrical facade and underlined horizontal divisions.

Air Force Command Building. It was designed by the architect Dragiša Brašovan and built in 1935. One of the largest buildings in the Zemun neigbourhood in terms of volume at the time, it constitutes a commanding sight within the Historic Core of Zemun even today.

The Old Building of the Faculty of Agriculture. It was built in 1932 to a design by Vojin Petrović in the area formerly occupied by the Zemun Kontumatz (quarantine). Originally a three-story building, it received a fourth floor in 1947/8, and an addition in the 1970s which forms one architectural whole with it. It was designed in a representative manner in a tardy historicist style.

The newly rennovated Lens railway station:

It was built 1925-27. Four decades later, the same architect was involved in the project of the Tour Montparnasse, which I find amazing in a way. Quite a movement/era spanning career.

The Ila complex in Oslo, Norway. Built as a large public housing projects in six different building steps between 1924 and 1930. The buildings shown here were completed around 1926 and 1927 and was likely designed by Harald Hals, the public city architect at the time. It is most notable for the large, monumental staircase inspired by the Spanish Steps in Rome that binds the streets on the two sides of the complex together.

Oslo Lysverkers old headquater in Oslo, Norway. Architect Andreas H. Bjercke and Georg Eliassen won the competition to the design the building in 1917, but it was not completed until 1932 after a long hiatus in the construction work and one major revision of the design.
