Urban golf courses
Does your city have any golf courses, country clubs, etc inside the city limits? If so, where in the city are they located? How do they fit in and integrate with the original natural landscape of the region? How do they fit in and integrate with the cityscape?

Lima
The San Isidro Golf course is just in the middle of the city and 10 minutes away from the main Financial Centre. The Golf course of Camacho is not as centric as the other one but is still in the city limits, just before the start of suburbs in the East Side of Lima. Is only 5 minutes away from Limas biggest shopping centre, Jockey Plaza. ![]() The other golf courses of Lima are outside the urban limits.

Singapore - Marina Bay Golf Course
http://www.mbgc.com.sg/ Singapore's most centrally located golf course closest to the CBD would be the Marina Bay Golf Course. It is built on reclaimed land (the land was reclaimed by the late 80s and has so far not been utilized for long-term development). The golf course was completed in 2006 will soon be integrated with the rest of the city through the Gardens at Marina East. http://www.flickr.com/photos/ken_bar...46465/sizes/l/ image hosted on flickr ![]() http://www.flickr.com/photos/ken_bar...n/photostream/ image hosted on flickr ![]() http://www.flickr.com/photos/eustaqu...64873/sizes/l/ image hosted on flickr ![]() http://www.flickr.com/photos/aaronju...28646/sizes/o/ image hosted on flickr ![]() http://www.flickr.com/photos/afiqjus...58591/sizes/l/ image hosted on flickr

This is just one of Mexico City golf courses, this was the first golf course of Mexico, it was created by the british community in the year of 1900 with the name of "San Pedro Country Club", actually known as Mexico City Country Club.
Some pics of the course of more than 100 years ago: ![]() ![]() Actually surrounded by the big city:

Here's some Urban Courses on the Gold Coast, Australia.
I couldn't really get pictures looking in or out of the Golf Courses to show you how urban they are because they are surrounded by trees to keep the balls in the course, and stop people from looking in. Here's some aerial pictures, thanks to Google. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Golf courses are nothing more than green deserts. All of those golf courses should be turned into natural urban parks. That would be a real plus for these cities.

my city wins.
i would go for the Mena House Oberoi Golf Course at the foot of the great pyramids in the cairo-giza metro, Egypt, a historical golf course with also prolly the greatest view of a skyscraper when golfing...
