ஒருகல் ஒரு கண்ணாடி... - விமர்சனம்

உதயநிதி ஸ்டாலினின் ரெட்ஜெயன்ட் எடுத்திருக்கிற முதல் வெற்றிப் படம் என்ற பெருமையை இந்த ஒரு கல் ஒரு கண்ணாடிக்குத் தரலாம்.

அழகான பெண்ணைக் கண்டதும் காதல், அதற்கு நண்பனின் உதவி, காதலில் பிரிவு, இறுதியில் ஒரு புதிய ஹீரோ உதவியுடன் கூடல் என்ற ராஜேஷ் பாணி சிம்பிள் கதை. ஆனால் ஒரு இடத்தில் கூட, அடுத்த சீன் என்ன என்று 'பாஸ்ட் பார்வர்டு' கேட்காத அளவுக்கு, ஒவ்வொரு காட்சியையும் அனுபவித்து ரசிக்க வைத்துள்ளார் இயக்குநர் ராஜேஷ்!

இரண்டரை மணி நேரம் எப்படிப் போனதென்றே தெரியாத வேகமும் சுவாரஸ்யமும் கொண்ட திரைக்கதையும், கலகலப்பான வசனங்களும்தான் இந்தப் படத்தின் முதுகெலும்பு.

குறிப்பாக சந்தானம். மனிதர் திரையில் அசத்தலாக அறிமுகமாகும்போது ஆரம்பிக்கும் சிரிப்பலை, கடைசி வரை நிற்காமல் தொடர்கிறது. அவரைப் பொறுத்தவரை இன்னும் இரண்டு டஜன் படங்களுக்குத் தாங்கும் இந்த ஓகே ஓகே.

ஹீரோ என்ற வகையில், இன்றைய அலட்டல் பார்ட்டிகளுக்கு உதயநிதி ஸ்டாலின் 200 மடங்கு பெட்டர்!

மிக சாதாரணமாக அறிமுகமாகி, காமெடியனால் வாறப்படும் அளவுக்கு இயல்பான நாயகனாக உதயநிதி மனதைக் கவர்கிறார். முதல் படத்துக்கே உரிய சின்னச் சின்ன தயக்கங்கள் அவரிடம் இருந்தாலும், அதுவே அவரை எதார்த்த நாயகனாகக் காட்ட உதவுகிறது. தனக்கு அந்நியமான நடனத்தைக் கூட முடிந்தவரை கெடுக்காமல் ஆடியிருக்கிறார். ஹன்ஸிகாவுடனான காதல் காட்சிகளிலும் இயல்பான நெருக்கத்தைக் காட்டி, தன்னை ஒரு வெற்றிகரமான தமிழ் நாயகனாக பதிவு செய்திருக்கிறார் உதயநிதி. வெல்கம்!

முந்தைய மூன்று படங்களை விட, இதில் ஹன்ஸிகா எவ்வளவோ பரவாயில்லை. பெரிதாக நடிக்கத் தேவையில்லாத பாத்திரம் என்றாலும், தன் தோற்றம் மற்றும் உடல்மொழியால் மனதைக் கவர்கிறார். இந்த ஆண்டு டாப் இடத்தைப் பிடிக்க இந்தப் படம் ஹன்ஸிகாவுக்கு உதவும்.

உதயநிதியின் அம்மாவாக வரும் சரண்யா கலக்கியிருக்கிறார். வழக்கமாக கண்ணீர் சிந்தும் அவர், இந்த பார்வையாளர்கள் கண்ணில் நீர்வரும் அளவு கலகலக்க வைக்கிறார். நல்ல மாறுதல். அவர் கணவராக வரும் அழகம் பெருமாளும் ஓகே.

ஷாயாஜி ஷிண்டேவை காமெடி போலீசாக்கிவிட்டார்கள்.

ராஜேஷ் படத்துக்கே உரிய கவுரவ நடிகர்களாக ஆர்யா, சினேகா மற்றும் ஆன்ட்ரியா. மூவரின் வருகையுமே படத்தை இன்னும் கலகலப்பாக்குகிறது.

குறையென்று சொல்ல பெரிதாக ஒன்றுமில்லை. இதுபோன்ற படங்களில் குறைதேடிக் கொண்டிருந்தால், படத்தை ரசிக்க முடியாது.

ஹாரிஸ் ஜெயராஜ் இந்த முறையும் தனது முந்தைய மெட்டுகளை உல்டா பண்ணியிருக்கிறார். ஆனாலும் கேட்கும்படி உள்ளன பாடல்கள். குறிப்பாக அழகே அழகே, வேணாம் மச்சான்...

பாலசுப்பிரமணியம் ஒளிப்பதிவு, எடிட்டிங் அனைத்தும் படத்துக்கு தேவையான அளவு கச்சிதமாக உள்ளன.

வித்தியாசம், பரீட்சார்த்தம் என்ற பெயரில் எங்கும் முகம் சுளிக்காமல், சுவாரஸ்யம் குறையாமல் பார்க்கும்படியாக ஒரு படத்தைக் கொடுத்த இயக்குநர் ராஜேஷ் ஹாட்ரிக் அடித்திருக்கிறார்.

ஒருமுறை என்ன... ஒன்ஸ்மோர் பார்க்கலாம்!

To Thalaiva with love...

Tamil films stars have always been held on a pedestal by their legions of fans who do things ranging from nobler deeds (conducting blood donation camps and the like) to the crazier ones (building temples and so on).

Now, actor Vijay, who has one of the biggest fan base among our K-Town's stars, have come out with an album extolling the virtues of their idol.

Vatsan Chakravathy, an upcoming actor and a self-confessed die-hard of the Ilayathalapathy, is the brain behind this project. The album contains two songs - Thalaiva... a rap number and Thaaru Maaru Daa..., a massy track that pretty much symbolizes the mass hero that Vijay is.

It was indeed a surprise when the usually reticent actor decided to launch the anthem to recognize the efforts of his hardcore fans. The actor also took the opportunity to announce that he will be honouring top achievers in the public examinations this years as a commitment to deserving youngsters.

At a time when stars themselves are coming out with anthems of their own (Dhanush's Sachin Anthem and Simbu's Love Anthem), it looks like with the Vijay Anthem, fandom with back with a vengeance.

Shot cuts - Amy-Barbie!

Amy Jackson, who stunned everybody with her performance in her debut Tamil film “Madrasapattinam,” has added not one but two feathers to her cap. Not only has the actor, who is now playing a role in director Vijay's next film Thandavam, been approached by the makers of Barbie dolls to launch a series inspired by her, she has also been chosen as one of the judges for the Miss Teen Pageant to be held in Texas in June.

The honour is special for Amy, who first shot into the limelight by winning the Miss Teen title.

“Miss Teen World is how I began my career. I won the title in 2008 and was crowned Miss Teen World 2009. It was only after that director Vijay, who was making Madrasapattinam then, spotted me. I owe a lot to the company — winning that title opened many doors for me. So, when I was invited to be a judge for the contest, I readily agreed. I will be in Texas in June for the contest when the Barbie dolls will be launched.”

About “Thandavam” in which she plays a half-Indian girl, Amy says, “It's a glamorous role which will suit me.”

Soundarya updates on Kochadaiyaan


Soundarya Ashwin, the director of Rajinikanth's Kochadaiyaan has updated on the film. She tweeted, "Off to Kerala... Kochadaiyaan schedule 2 starts tomorrow". The team has selected the lush locales of God's own country as the ideal spot for shooting a portion of the film.

The first schedule of the film took place in London and word is that it went wery well. Sarathkumar, Aadhi, and Deepika Padukone are part of the cast and music is by AR Rahman.

Ajith scares Billa 2 crew


The Billa 2 teaser that was released on the Tamil New Year has been the talk of the town. The teaser shows Ajith doing a very dangerous stunt, hanging from a helicopter with a single hand. The film’s stunt master Stefan Richter, in his micro-blogging page posted, “Believe me guys, in my career as stunt man, I have been a real daredevil. But when I saw how Ajith jumped off the helicopter and hung on one hand, my blood froze in my veins!”

Chakri Toleti, the director of the film posted, “Billa 2 stunts in the film are done by Thala without any stunt doubles. Difficult stuff… I'm sure fans will appreciate the hard work." Assistant director Sharath Mandava tweeted, “It's a real stunt by AK. So scary... Hanging may be easy for some stunt people. But falling from a flying chopper was shock of my life!"

Looks like Ajith is doing everything to make his fans proud and happy!

Saguni audio release soon


Saguni starring Karthi is progressing with a brisk pace. Few days back, reports said that the film’s song shoots have been completed. Now the news is that the film’s music director has completed mastering the tracks. GV Prakash said that the film’s master audio disk has been handed over to the producers, dream warriors and that the audio release can be expected soon.

The film features Praneetha, Radhika Sarath Kumar, Santhanam, Prakash Raj, Roja and Kota Srinivasa Rao. National Award winner Sreekar Prasad is the film’s editor and Muthiah handles the camera.

Vimal, Shiva, Santhanam film gets new title


Sundar C's next film originally called Masala Cafe and starring Vimal, Shiva, Santhanam, Oviya and Anjali has been renamed Kalakalappu. UTV Motion Pictures and Kushboo's Avni Cinemax are the producers. Ilavarasu, Panju Subbu, John Vijay, Balaji Mohan and yesteryear actor, VS Raghavan in a special appearance round out the rocking cast.

It is felt that Kalakalappu is the perfect title for the film as it promises to be a full - fledged comedy with lots of laughs and entertainment. Shooting has been wrapped up and post production is underway. The audio launch will be on April 20th and the film is expected to hit the screens in May.
