Very nice shots of what i like to think is my second home (although i haven't been for a while now).

I think you are being too hard on auld Dublin though with your opening comments - it has problems like anywhere, but the city centre is very fine indeed (although i must admit that a lot of the areas outside of the city centre can range from depressing to god-awful)

The coastal areas are though, especially when looking towards the mountains on a sunny day - when it really does have the appearance of Italy or Turkey

/\ Thanks, maybe I am being a little hard on the city. I think as a native though, you're really aware of all the missed opportunities and apathy here. A lot of Irish people view the city with contempt, and would begrudge any public expenditure on the place. Hence, a lot of delapidation and apathy abound!!
You're photostream of Dublin is great by the way. Just clicked on it there; some nice shots of north county Dublin.

Great shots! Though isn't much of Dublin of the Georgian style. Is this the area where there is the biggest concentration of Geogrian buildings?

There are a lot of Georgian buildings in the city, but it wouldn't be as well preserved as in some UK cities. Lots of nineteenth and twentieth century buildings too!

Dublin looks like a lovely city, I've always wanted to go to Ireland, seems to be a fantastic place. Really nice country and great pics

Great pics , well done , though maybe the "dirty" label might put people of having a look at our capital city . Have you any docklands / transport shots ?

Hey Barry, cheers for the compliments. The 'dirty' is a reference to the dirty auld town rep the city had back in the day. Although, I have to admit I'm rather critical of the apathy and disregard with which the city is treated today.
In saying that, I love the place to bits; just would love to see it get the care and attention it deserves!

What kinda docklands pics did you have in mind? I've quite a few, but most are pretty similar to the one's on the first page. Haven't really got any transport shots!

Thanks. Well, its beauties are often hidden, but they are there!

More pics of the bay and mountains to come. I was gonna take pics of O'Connell street, which was mentioned by an earlier, but decided against it.
The north-side inner-city is too ming to take pictures of, it's like our ghetto. Packed to the rafters with junkies and unsavoury types! If you come here don't bother crossing the river unless it's to visit some of the coastal areas, the park or some of the more interesting suburbs like glasnevin!
