BAKU | Crescent Tower | 203 m | 43 fl | App

Crescent Tower

Usage: Mix-use project
Floors: 43
Height: 203 m
Start of the project: October 2009
Duration: 4 years

The arch-like nature of Crescent Tower is revealed by the fact that the structure isn't a pure crescent on its inside relying on more regularly shaped columns to help provide it with support.

At 32 floors tall it will also be a luxury hotel, this time with 221 rooms. There will also be 128 serviced apartments in the building. Floor space will 128,140 square metres.

Behind it will stand a further four tall buildings, three of which will be residential with the tallest of the quartet being a 43 floor office building standing 203 metres tall.

Until recent time this project was like proposed or even vision. In July 2009, Aecom (Savant) released a shock news about Crescent Tower. According to the news the construction works will start in October 2009 and will last 4 years. The operator of the project is Aecom: http://www.savantinternational.com/m...0in%20baku.pdf

At the same time Aecom has recently added Crescent Tower in the list of its projects: http://savant.aecom.com/experience.aspx

What's wrong with putting the real city of Baku in the background of the photos? The 2nd pic is San Francisco, another one looks like Paris in the background.

You can sort of see why they didn't put pictures of Baku in the backgrounds of the renders.

The tower looks horrendously tacky as well.

Although that part of the city is close to the downtown, the problem is there is much construction going on there: Hilton, Marriott, Empire Park, Port Baku... All those buildings are cose to the site of Crescent Tower. Maybe that is the reason they chose different background. Until Crescent will be finished the area surrounding it will be very perfect as well.
