Drones are very common nowadays. What happens if a drone hits an airplane at full speed ?

If it just hits a plane it will most likely just be some superficial damage, unless it hits just the wrong spot it could damage some of key parts of a plane which effect the mechanical or hydraulically systems like the flaps for example.

The worst case is if a larger drone is sucked into the engine, it will cause serious damage which will result in an engine failure. Or even an uncontained engine failure, then the plane is in serious trouble.

Luckily the chance that it actually hits a plane at full speed is low, standard drones don't reach the heights where planes fly at cruise speed. But even at lower speeds at approach or after take-off it's still very dangerous if there's a collision.

The plane just drops. Either a technical problem in the controls or the instruments were showing the pilot the wrong altitude.

Though the later seams unlikely since there seams to be some visibility

Is it just me or the month of March seems to be cursed when it comes to fatal plane crashes? If you notice some of the big crashes happens to be in March. Look at the facts for example in March 2014 - MH disappears, March 2015 - Germanwings suicidal, and this year...this one

Cause - Aircraft structural failure or pilot error.
During the accident the wind force - 120 km \ h. (stormy).
The pilot did not go to the alternate aerodrome
2:00 circled over the airfield Rostov-on-Don. The pilot waited for the weather improved.
Several aircraft (at the time) went to the alternate airport in the city of Krasnodar.
The decision on the landing - receives the pilot.
Plane crash occurred during the climb (at the missed approach). The plane "fell into a vertical drop."
(See graph).
+
Possible cause - the destruction of the aircraft structure (in high winds and heavy loads).

doesn't really add up...I mean, the video shows the crash happened during landing when in fact in the real event, he apparently performed a second go-around and indeed climbed up to 4000 ft before dropping and crashing

The Flydubai pilot had already resigned and was working his three month notice.

http://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-35855678

Excessive fatigue was the main reason.

Emergency landing

An airplane that was supposed to land in Stockholm today at lunchtime has been forced to make an emergency landing in Stavanger, Norway.

The plane took off this morning from Edinburgh in Scotland and the reason for the emergency landing is smoke in the cabin - now the plane is evacuated.
- We know nothing yet of where the smoke came from, says a person at the flight information at the airport.

Shortly before 12 o'clock on Sunday morning a Norwegian aircraft was forced to make a emergency landing in Norway. The plane took off from Edinburgh 9:40 and should have landed at the airport at 12.50.

But just before 12 o'clock the plane had to divert to the airport of Stavanger - as smoke came out of the cabin.
- I have not received any information about where the smoke arose. I just know that there was smoke in the cabin so now the aircraft is parked and the passengers are about to go out, says a member of staff at the flight information at the airport.
The person does not want to be mentioned by name but confirmed that the landing seems to have gone well. Now the plane is evacuated.
