I have opened a new website dedicated to all architecture of the world:

[Sky Palace]

I'm the manager of the Russian section. If you would like to participate - you'd be very welcome!

Mr. Golov, could I use your pictures on the website and if I can how should I attribute them (author, page and site)?

Yes, a tremendously good idea.

And I appreciate this thread, greatly, thanks.

By all means feel free to use my pictures to promote Russian architecture and culture on you website. The last photo of Gorodets is not mine however, I just reposted it from the Russian subforum

You should have a look at the photo threads in the Russian section, there is plenty of historic material there. Just use google translate if you can't understand Russian

Fantastic

Some photos of fortress Oreshek which protected trade routes at the mouth of the Neva river. This northern land has an interesting history of struggle for domination between Sweden and Novgorod and then Moscovy. The fortress changed hands several times during the centuries

The only truly secure system is one that is powered off, cast in a block of concrete and sealed in a lead-lined room with armed guards - and even then I have my doubts. Gene Spafford.
I am Basque, not Russian, the "Siberia" thing is a joke.
